Spanish comic book artist Jesus Orellana taught himself an animation program and made the short film with literally no budget! The short was shown at several festivals including the Seattle International Film Festival, then SITGES, Screamfest, Toronto After Dark, and many others, all to rave reviews. Something of a bidding war ensued before the project ultimately landed at 20th Century Fox.
