Courtesy of Variety, news broke yesterday that newbie Will Dunn will be writing the live-action feature adaptation of Orellana‘s original short. Spanish comic book artist Jesus Orellana taught himself an animation program and made the short film with literally no budget! The short was shown at several festivals including the Seattle International Film Festival, then SITGES, Screamfest, Toronto After Dark, and many others, all to rave reviews. Something of a bidding war ensued before the project ultimately landed at 20th Century Fox.

Fox is doing this? Well they are going to do it on the cheap and it is going to suck. This short is good but does it really warrant a full length movie???

@Stromerc, you're 3 years behind because Fox hasn't gone cheap, nor micromanaged their films like they did in the early to mid 2000's.
