Oh man, it's on now. The latest TV spot for Justin Lin's Star Trek Beyond sheds some light on Krall's backstory, with Idris Elba providing an incredibly chilling threat to Capt. Kirk and company, a threat that he seems more than capable of carrying out. The film hits theaters next this Friday, with preview screenings beginning Thursday afternoon. After stopping off at Starbase Earhart, a remote outpost on the fringes of Federation space, the USS Enterprise, halfway into their five-year mission, is destroyed by a powerful, unstoppable wave of unknown aliens.
