Joseph Gatt Joins The Cast Of STAR TREK Sequel

More casting news for J.J Abrams' Sc-fi sequel. This time it's genre mainstay Gatt, who we last saw in Marvel's Thor..

Abrams and co are set to shoot the sequel to Star Trek this week, and thanks to Screenrant we have a bit of late casting news. Joining fellow Trek newcomers Benedict Cumberbatch, Alice Eve, Noel Clarke, Nazneen Contractor and Peter Weller is the distinctive looking Joseph Gatt..

Although we have confirmation that Gatt is in Star Trek 2, we have no information as to which character he may be playing. With his background in voice acting (Star Wars: The Old Republic) and motion-capture work (God of War series) in addition to his resume of filmwork, he could be playing anything from an alien with physical prowess to a henchman of Benedict Cumberbatch’s character.

I would assume the same thing. I think it's unlikely Gatt will not be playing some type of bruiser in the movie. As was mentioned above, Gatt is probably best known among gamers as providing the mo-cap for Kratos in the God Of War series. He was also set to play the muscle bound bad guy John O'Quinn in the cancelled Wonder Woman Tv series.
