New Star Trek Game Based on J.J. Abrams Film - Plus First Screen Shot

In the game, players are cast as Kirk and Spock as they go up against a "legendary enemy," which rumor has will be the Klingons.

Said Tom Lesinsinski, President of Paramount Digital Entertainment, “Star Trek challenges the boundaries of co-op gameplay with a galactic adventure that gamers and fans have never experienced. Working closely with the Star Trek filmmaking team throughout development, the game is sure to deliver AAA production values, a wide variety of gameplay and all the action you would expect from the hit franchise. This will be the definitive Star Trek gaming experience.”

The game is written by God of War writer Marianne Krawczyk in collaboration with the films' writers, Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman.

The only good Star Trek games are from the PC days. Star Trek 25th Anniversary, Starfleet Academy, Klingon Academy, Armada, Bridge Commander and albeit loosely, Starfleet Command. All Star Trek Console games suck hard. Funny the same thing happened on the Star Wars side where quality goes to a nose dive from PC to consoles. Tie Fighter > Force Unleashed.

Hope it doesn't suck like most of the others have. Like most of the ones JohnTom88 mentioned.

@Lert, awesome.

Star Trek: TOS deserves a cool video game. Even if it's based on J.J. Abrams'.

...ah wittysupername - still off the marker, dude. Clealry you just caught the tone of my previous posts and not the content.

My problem with the 'resurrected franchise' is more the terrible writing and weak plot. This only resurrects Trek in the sense of the mental image of a zombie. Good one tho. Think I'll use it.

As far as fapping is concerned, it isn't over Tuvok, but Tasha Yar, who I had the pleasure of meeting once (...and that's the actress, not the character before you jump on that.)

Star Trek died for me at Nemesis - and while not the strongest offering, still better than that mindless schlock that Jar Jar Abrams vomited so the clear brain dead movie audience of the modern age calls cinema. I bet you think Robert Orci is brilliant.

Your mom says hi.

..btw - what gave you the impression I was a Voyager fanboy?

The two FPS games "Elite Force" and the strategy game "Birth of the federation" - the only good games imo.

Haven't played the MMO though.
