Some Big SPOILERS For STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS

The following comes courtesy of Brazilian site Judao.com via Trek Movie. There are detailed highlights of 38 minutes of the movie - mostly from the beginning but some stuff later on also - including set pieces and some character stuff (Kirk shagging some cat-women?) too. No deaths are given away or anything, but if you don't want to know anything about the film before seeing it I wouldn't read any further.

"Nibiru mission ends with Kirk rescuing Spock by violating the prime directive by revealing the Enterprise to Nibiru natives so he can beam Spock out of the Volcano

Kirk has a scene in bed (back in San Francisco) in bed with two "cat women"

Kirk makes mention of hoping to get assigned to a "five year mission" (implying that the famed five year mission hasn’t started yet for the time he has been captain)

Kirk is demoted for violating prime directive on Nibiru, loses command of Enterprise with Pike to take over command Kirk as first officer

Pike wanted to send Kirk back to Academy but was convinced (possibly ordered?) to make Kirk first officer of Enterprise by Admiral Marcus (played by Peter Weller)

Spock assigned to another ship

The "father" character uses his Starfleet ring as a bomb (dropping it into water for a reaction) and destroys a facility (in London)

London attack leads to big meeting of Starfleet captains which itself is attacked by John Harrison, resulting in Pike being injured…Harrison transport away

Later scenes in the film….

Enterprise severely damaged falling to Earth with Spock in command ordering evacuation

Kirk and Scott seen in Engineering trying to stabilize ship

Later Spock scene beaming down to San Francisco and starting long chase with Harrions

Eventually Spock meets up with Harrison and engages in a fight"

Sounds good...but seriously, cat women? Green chicks are one thing James!

You know what makes no sense to me. Peter Weller playing Admiral Marcus. I could have sworn the original tidbit of info was that his character would be a supportive figure to the main villain. Possibly a secret ally?

They might be going for a mole or something within Starfleet. That could fit the mood well for the movie.

I figured somebody would post something after MarkJulian posted the last article and wrote,

"Think back to last year and how much was already known about Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. Imagine how different your viewing experience would've been had you went into the theater knowing nothing"

Some weak stomachs around here.

So Kirk becomes captain by accident again?

I thought they said he'll earn the captains chair in this one.

@AlexTheKaiser- Yeah but ya know what i kinda noticed? No slam to Pine intended but he doesn't really put out much of the "Captain" vibe to me. He is good at playing a douchebag in movies.

Love Pine. Great actor. But some actors are just better in certain types of roles. However one movie i really wanted to see starred Chris Pine and he wasn't actually playing a douche. People Like Us looked like a good movie.

I'm hoping Abrams directs the 3rd one or at least stays on as producer.

I'm not sure I like the idea of Kirk losing the ship, and then getting it back again later. I hope he won't continually have to learn these lessons every movie. Let's have some character evolution here (which is something you'd expect from Star Trek).

i really liked the first, but ive gotta be honest, MOS is getting all of my attention right now, its hard for me to get interested in some of these other movies. maybe that will make it better, if im not expecting much.

Has everyone forgotten that after the original 5 year mission, and after leaving the enterprise when promoted to admiral, Kirk had a serious problem with authority? He continuously disobeyed orders, stole a star ship, destroyed it and was demoted? How many times has Kirk broken the prime directive anyways? This sounds like Kirk to me.

The old book Prime Directive by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens was a great book about Kirk and his difficulty with the directive and maintaining command of the enterprise.

@worldbreaker

Catians are cat people and part of the Star Trek Universe. First appearing in the Animated series then movies. In Star Trek 5 there is a 3 breasted Cat-girl dancer. She is never named for her race or could be a possible mutant Catian.

There ya go Furry Star Trek lovers.
