With preview screenings beginning tomorrow night, the wait for Star Trek Beyond is nearly over! The critically acclaimed Justin Lin-directed feature is expected to have a pretty great weekend with early tracking estimating an opening of around $55-60 million. The film is also set to open in at least fifty international markets this weekend, which should result in a very impressive global sum by Sunday.

Paramount Pictures has released a great new clip featuring Karl Urban's Bones McCoy as he lends a helping hand to Zachary Quinto's Spock after the pair crashland on a mysterious new planet. The pair even bond a bit before some unexpected happens. Check out the clip below:

After stopping off at Starbase Earhart, a remote outpost on the fringes of Federation space, the USS Enterprise, halfway into their five-year mission, is destroyed by a powerful, unstoppable wave of unknown aliens. With the crew stranded on a unknown planet and with no apparent means of rescue, they find themselves in conflict with a new ruthless enemy who has a well-earned hatred of the Federation and what it stands for.

Star Trek Beyond will feature:
Director: Justin Lin
Chris Pine as Captain James T. Kirk
Zachary Quinto as Commander Spock
Zoe Saldana as LT Nyota Uhura
Karl Urban as LCDR Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy
Simon Pegg as LCDR Montgomery "Scotty" Scott

Idris Elba as Krall
Sofia Boutella as Jaylah
Joe Taslim in an undisclosed role
Lydia Wilson in an undisclosed role
Harpreet Sandhu in an undisclosed role

Star Trek Beyond boldly goes where no man has gone before July 22

I wonder who Krall actually is? A damn TV Spot I saw last night spoiled a part of who his character is.

They did a great job with Bones in these flicks but the Spock is off. He just seems....weird but maybe that's what they wanted.
