STAR TREK: DISCOVERY Adds Three More To Its Cast; Plus First Behind-The-Scenes Look At The Klingons
The cast of CBS All Access' new Star Trek show has bene rounded out with the addition of three actors, while a leaked BTS snap provides our first glimpse at a bunch of very different looking Klingons...
THR reports that Terry Serpico, Maulik Pancholy, and Sam Vartholomeos have all joined the cast of CBS All Access Star Trek: Discovery. Serpico (Sneaky Pete, Army Wives) will play Admiral Anderson, a high-ranking official of Starfleet. Pancholy (30 Rock , Weeds) is Dr. Nambue, the chief medical officer of the Starship Shenzhou, and finally, Vartholomeos (The Secret life of Walter Mitty) will portray Ensign Connor, a junior officer in Starfleet Academy.
The trio joins Sonequa Martin-Green in the lead role, as well as James Frain (Sarek), Doug Jones (Lt. Saru), Anthony Rapp (Lt. Stamets), Michelle Yeoh (Starfleet Captain Georgiou), and Shazad Latif as a Klingon officer named Kol.
The Trek news doesn't stop there, as we also have a first look at the show's new take on final frontier mainstays, the Klingons. The pic was shared by the folks over at Treknews.net, and as you can see, these guys look quite a bit different to the other incarnations of the iconic, war-like aliens that have appeared in previous movies and TV shows.
Star Trek: Discovery recently kicked-off production, though an exact premiere date has still not been announced.
