Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to be released in less than one month's time and Lucasfilm has done a fantastic job of keeping the movie's plot under wraps. While a few minor details have been released here and there, we have no real idea what to expect from the sequel and it hasn't suffered from anywhere near the same number of leaks that Star Wars: The Force Awakens did a while back.

Now, Disney has released 58 official images featuring pretty much each and every character, both new and returning. We also get some amazing behind the scenes shots showing how the movie was made!

It's clear that director Rian Johnson has created a visually stunning movie in Star Wars: The Last Jedi and the signs are pointing to there being plenty of big reveals for fans. Oh, and don't worry, there are plenty of great shots of Porgs here and pretty much every image here is actually wallpaper worthy!

Benicio Del Toro plays the mysterious DJ in Star Wars: The Last Jedi and while we still know next to nothing about the computer hacker, we are aware that the Resistance needs his help.

Despite delivering a rousing speech in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we haven't seen much of General Hux in this follow-up. Here's hoping that not because he only has a minor role.

This is Canto Blight, the home of a casino which will be a key location for Finn's story arc here as he finds a new friend in the form of Kelly Marie Tran's Rose, a member of the Resistance.

Luke Skywalker is back on the Millennium Falcon, a ship which once brought him great joy but now appears to leave the
hero in pain as a wealth of old memories come flooding back to him.

This is Laura Dern's violet-haired commander who hopes to shake things up in the Resistance. Will she be friend or foe to General Leia? That obviously remains to be seen for the time being.

Is Star Wars: The Last Jedi going to feature the franchise's first flashback? It certainly appears that way and with any luck, that means we'll finally learn more about the Knights of Ren!

General Leia keeps her eye on the action and strategises for the battles ahead. The question is, will she end up getting any sort of help from her long-lost brother Luke Skywalker?

We only saw Supreme Leader Snoke as a hologram in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and like The Emperor, it appears as if that will once again be how he chooses to communicate with his underlings.

A scene instantly recognisable from the trailers and TV spots, it's just a shame we now know that it wraps up with Chewie punching that adorable looking Porg right out of frame.

Luke Skywalker doesn't look happy as he stands in front of the first Jedi temple on the island of Ahch-To and that probably has something to do with Rey's unexpected arrival at his new home.

You're going to see a lot of Finn and Rose together in this gallery and that's probably because we can expect to see the two of them share an awful lot of screentime in this highly anticipated release.

Not much is known about Poe Dameron's arc in Star Wars: The Last Jedi but interviews have pointed to the stage being set for the pilot to take over the Resistance from General Leia.

A glimpse inside Supreme Leader Snoke's luxurious throne room, he lives very differently to The Emperor and is not only very powerful but also extremely wealthy! Does
he fund The First Order?

Luke Skywalker has been given his lightsaber back by Rey but as we learned at the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, he doesn't necessarily seem overjoyed to be reunited with the weapon.

This is one of the crystal foxes of Crait, creatures we've caught a glimpse of in the trailers but who we've since learned will actually assist the movie's heroes during a key moment in the story.

Gwendoline Christie is set to return as Captain Phasma after being unceremoniously dumped down a garbage shoot in the last movie and fans are hoping she'll get a much better story arc here.

Finn didn't do a whole lot of flying in Star Wars: The Force Awakens but he's clearly brushed up on those skills for the sequel as you can see from this very cool shot of the hero.

Rey is coming to terms with her newfound powers in Star Wars: The Last Jedi but she's going to have to win Luke Skywalker over before embracing her destiny as a Jedi warrior.

An awesome action shot of Poe Dameron running into battle, this presumably takes place shortly after General Leia gives him permission to jump in his X-Wing and kick some ass.

Trailers have shown Kylo Ren with some sort of metallic substance on his face seemingly healing the scar left by Rey but the question is, is this shot from before or after the villain uses that?

Rey is looking to Luke Skywalker for guidance in this movie but it doesn't appear as if he's at all keen on the prospect of taking on a new apprentice after what happened with his nephew.

These are known as AT-M6 walkers, an apparent step forward in terms of technology when compared to the AT-ATs we saw on Hoth and Endor during the original Star Wars trilogy.

Captain Phasma and Finn
comes to blows here in what will no doubt be the final battle between the two of them in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The question is, will she survive this clash?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is going to be Carrie Fisher's final appearance in the franchise due to her tragic death last year and fans are obviously hoping that the movie will give her a fitting farewell.

BB-8 hasn't really been the focus of this movie's marketing campaign (probably because Disney has sold enough toys featuring the droid's likeness) so here's hoping he gets a decent role.

A fantastic shot of Rey as she appears to ponder her future, what comes next for her remains to be seen but the trailers have definitely teased some conflict inside of the hero.

This appears to be the movie's final battle but the question most fans are wondering after seeing the trailers is whether or not this is where Kylo Ren decides to murder his mother.

A gorgeous shot of the villainous Kylo Ren, based on everything we've seen from Star Wars: The Last Jedi so far, it seems as if it will be the most visually stunning Star Wars movie to date!

Finn and Rose together. TV spots have shown that he wakes up very concerned about where Rey is but is it possible that he could find a new love interest in Star Wars: The Last Jedi?

As we've seen in the trailers, this shot takes place just moments before Kylo Ren chooses to destroy his helmet. Has he had enough of working under Supreme Leader Snoke?

Rey wields Luke Skywalker's lightsaber here but the question many fans are asking is whether or not she'll get a blade of her own or if Luke has kept his green lightsaber hidden in storage somewhere.

"It's time for the Jedi to end." That's what Luke Skywalker said when this scene played in the trailers but it obviously remains to be seen whether or not he'll change his mind on that point.

These clumsy looking ships are all the Resistance will have when they race into action against the AT-M6s and they look an awful lot like the podracers from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace!

These look seriously cool and it definitely appears as if Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson favoured red when it came to dreaming up the look of this sequel.

Rey showed off her skills with a staff in Star Wars: The Force Awakens but with that likely being replaced by a lightsaber here, it's possible we'll soon say goodbye to this weapon.

This is Kylo Ren's personal TIE Fighter and he'll be flying it into battle in Star Wars: The Last Jedi during scenes which seemingly point to the villain taking out the Resistance and his own mother!

Supreme Leader Snoke is clearly very powerful but even he needs some protection and he'll get it in the form of these
fierce looking Praetorian guards decked out in a very cool scarlet red.

This is an outside shot of Canto Blight and if you take a close up look at what's going on here, it seems as if this is a well-guarded building which isn't actually a hive of scum and villainy!

These are The Caretakers, an ancient race responsible for looking after the ancient Jedi Temples Luke Skywalker now calls home. However, it doesn't sound like they get on particularly well!

The Resistance's Starkiller base may have been destroyed in Star Wars: The Force Awakens but that clearly hasn't hurt them too much as Kylo Ren can be seen here looking at some powerful weapons!

TIE Fighters pursue the Millennium Falcon through the bowels of
Crait and it looks like we can expect to see the ship see plenty of action here even if Han Solo is no longer piloting it.

The might of The First Order knows pretty much no bounds and that's evident from seeing the number of troops they have here. The Empire definitely wasn't quite as organised as this.

Rian Johnson directs Carrie Fisher in the movie which we now know will be her final big screen appearance. Whether or not Disney has changed things with how her story wraps up isn't clear.

The filmmaker shares a conversation with Chewbacca here, something it's fair to say he probably never expected to happen when he was working on Looper! Next? An entire new Star Wars trilogy!

We can clearly expect Finn and Poe Dameron to spend some time together in Star Wars: The Last Jedi and it looks like they're having a lot of fun here alongside director Rian Johnson.

An awesome shot of Rey as she seemingly prepares to train under the watchful eye of Luke Skywalker, it appears as if she'll spend a fair bit of time alongside the Jedi Master on that remote island.

This is a shot of Finn in the pod he's being kept in to help heal his wounds after the events of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. When he wakes up, the first thing he says is Rey's name.

Luke Skywalker watches on as Rey trains with her lightsaber. The question is, does he approve of what he's seeing or is he thinking of ways to get rid of his new pupil? Time will tell.

Another shot of Rey handing the lightsaber back to its original owner (well, that would be Anakin Skywalker but you get what we mean), Luke no longer hides his prosthetic hand.

BB-8 accompanies Poe Dameron into battle and the trailer showed him seemingly getting electrified during that.
Hopefully there won't be any lasting damage to the fan-favourite droid!

A great shot of Captain Phasma before she fights
Finn, here's hoping she gets a much better role in the movie after getting what felt like nowhere near enough screentime in The Force Awakens.

Who is Kylo Ren facing here in what is surely a lightsaber battle? It could be a rematch with Rey but my
guy tells me that we're actually going to see him and Luke Skywalker fight!

We saw some of Poe Dameron's skills in an X-Wing in Star Wars: The Force Awakens but it appears as if this movie will feature even more of the hero taking to the skies and fighting the good fight.

Director Rian Johnson poses with producer Ram Bergman and producer and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy behind the scenes of the movie in what looks like a key location.

Admiral Ackbar (a returning character from the original Star Wars trilogy) calls it a wrap here but whether or not he'll live to fight another day remains to be seen following this movie.

John Boyega and Kelly Marie Tran share a laugh here as work continues on the movie, a sign that these two got on just as well behind the camera as their characters do in front of it.

A great shot of director Rian Johnson here alongside Daisy Ridley as he instructs the actress for what appears to be one of Star Wars: The Last Jedi's most stylish scenes.

It's a
Porg! What more do we need to say?

@SimyJo - Sadly the actor who voiced him died. He did reprise his role in The Force Awakens though.

Just thought of something. Shouldn't looking directly at the lightsaber blade be very painful and bad for characters' eyes? Seeing as it's a bright light source.

@Boyle360 - If I recall, the magnetic field surrounding the plasma that shapes the blade also limits the amount of infrared light coming off.

Might just catch this in IMAX for that IW trailer greatness.

This movie looks fantastic, both visually and in story. Cannot wait. Mark Hamill looks like he's gonna knock it out of the park

Let's not forget, the crystal in the blue lightsaber called out to Rey. Crystals don't just randomly call out to anyone strong in the force. They call out to their match. So, really, that light saber is the one I expect Rey should be sticking with. Or a new saber she constructs with it perhaps.

That saber never called out to Luke. He inherited it. It wasn't a match for him.

In the shot of Kylo looking down his saber. If you zoom in on his eyes, is that a reflection of a Droid of sorts?
