Watch the original teaser trailer for Revenge of the Jedi, which appeared in theaters before Star Wars creator George Lucas changed the name of the film to Return of the Jedi. This trailer features the completed Revenge of the Jedi logo, shows Luke wielding a blue lightsaber (in the final film, his Jedi weapon would have a green blade), and features a quick shot of Obi-Wan Kenobi before "spirit" effects were added.

I can see Lucas's reaction after he realized the flaw in his Revenge of the Jedi title.

I expect a ep. 7 teaser with the voice of Mark Hamill communicating with Obi-Wan and Yoda.

What's weird is, Lucas threatened to sue Paramount because they had "Star Trek: The Vengeance of Khan" coming out in 1982, and thought people would confuse the two movies, so Paramount changed their film to "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan." Then Lucas decides "Revenge" isn't the best title, so he changes his too.

I was 15 when "Jedi" came out.I remember this trailer being played in front of Ben Kingsley's "Gandhi" which my entire High School history class saw on a field trip
around february 1983.

1. Empire
2. A New Hope
3. Revenge of the Sith
4. Return of the Jedi
5. Ewok Adventure: Caravan of Courage
?. [Battle for Endor]
...
6. Attack of the Clones
7. Phantom Menace

Jedi is the most uneven of the films, IMO. It's best moments are fantastic, and with a few changes, it could be a lot better. But it's wonderful nostalgia in any case.

Also, Jedi suffers the most from George Lucas' digital tampering. It makes me sad.
GeneralZod1138

1. Episode V
2. Episode VI
3. Episode III

And ill be 30 by years end.

....And if this isn't leading towards an Episode VII Teaser, than this is all a big waste of time.

Lord, 80's trailers. It was always some dude basically telling us what the movie was going to be about. Star Trek 2 had a similar thing going as I remember. I guess it took them a while to figure out audiences could glean this information for themselves from the images on screen. Still I guess it was a step up from giant word splashes popping up on screen like the 40's and 50's.

Since many others are posting their preferred order of films, I guess I'll throw in my two cents.

1- Empire
2- A New Hope
3- Jedi

*Large Gap*

4- Phantom Menace
5- Clones
6- Sith

The prequels just got worse as they came out. Quality wise, there isn't that much of a difference between the three, but as each film touched on events that were more and more desirable to see, the letdown was just so much harder. The action and extravagant set pieces did not make up for the poor story telling, acting, and failure to properly connect to the old films, which crumbled more and more with each subsequent release.

I would have little to no issue with the excessive lack of practical effects and sets, if those other elements of the films had been successful.

I can sit through these movies here and there, but they sincerely lack rewatchability. I have painfully accepted them as Star Wars canon, but in my mind I will always picture my own version of how things went down. Hopefully the sequels wont reference too much (if anything at all) from the prequels.

1. A New Hope
2. Revenge of the Sith
3. Empire Strikes Back
4. Return of the Jedi
5. Attack of the Clones
6. The Phantom Menace

I actually dig the prequels though. 1 & 2 have nothing on the other 4 but they're still decent movies to watch or to kill time. The action is undeniably badass and while the dialogue might be a bit lacking the overall stories of Menace and Clones actually aren't too bad.

Fun to watch. Interesting the Luke's lightsaber was blue in the trailer.
