Diego Luna Gives An Interesting Response When Asked If He'll Appear In HAN SOLO; Woody Harrelson Confirmed

MTV caught up with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story actor Diego Luna on the red carpet of the Golden Globes over the weekend, and asked him a few questions about the movie - but it's the query about a completely different Star Wars anthology film that stands out.

Though Luna doesn't confirm or deny that he may return as Captain Cassian Andor in the Young Han Solo movie, his response does seem very telling. Check out the video HERE and see for yourselves.

In related news, Lucasfilm has just officially confirmed that Woody Harrelson (War for the Planet of the Apes, The Hunger Games) has joined the already very impressive cast of the film. This follows a report from last week that claimed he was in talks. Unfortunately there's no mention of which character he'll be playing, but word is he will be a mentor to Alden Ehrenreich's budding space smuggler.

Here's what directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller had to say in a statement:

“We couldn’t be more excited to work with an artist with as much depth and range as Woody. His ability to find both humor and pathos, often in the same role, is truly unique. He is also very good at ping pong."

The untitled Young Han Solo movie is slated for release in 2018.

Yeah, because Diego Luna's character was SO memorable that we need to see him again. Sorry, what was his name again? I can't even be bothered to remember.

@MrDandy - Umm.. actually I thought he was a terrific character and would love to see more of him. It was Captain Cassian Andor.

@RorMachine - For me, the biggest weakness of Rogue One was it's one dimensional and flat characters that were all completely forgettable. I really didn't care or feel anything when any of them died.

If there is one thing Gareth Edward has proven with Monsters, Godzilla, and Rogue One, it's that he is terrible at creating compelling personalities.

@MrDandy - I completely agree.

And it pains me, because Diego is positively charming and adorable in all his interviews, and he's so grateful for the role. The fact that I didn't give a crap about his character, makes me sad
