No!

2016, you motherfvcker.

Take Bowie, take Prince, take Muhammad Ali!

But don't take our fvcking Princess Leia!!!

Fvck me, this is the worst one, yet.

After seeing her so young in Rogue One, too.

Hope that didn't have anything to do with it.

It's as if a million souls just cried out in pain and were all silenced at once.

@DukeAcureds -

How about don't take anyone, you are 1 sick individual.

@ClaytonBigsby - The sick individuals are the trolls on this site taking advantage of a celebrity death to feign offense or disgust over something they purposely take out of context. This is the second post like this I have seen today.

@Objectivelybiased -

Making light of other peoples recent deaths is "taken out of context" to u? Wtf, do u have a reading disability?

Who's next? The Queen?

We just had a member of Status Quo and George Michael and just in the last quarter of an hour, the writer of Watership Down.

WTF2016?!

Even though her career was basically Star Wars, she did a lot for people with mental health problems and was very open about her drinking and other problems. Sad to see a light like that go out so young.

@Kyos - Beyond that, her one-woman show "Wishful Drinking" was one of the most successful of all time (and it's incredibly moving and hilarious, worth the read in book form). Just because her acting career was slight beyond Star Wars doesn't mean that she wasn't working steadily.

Like Mark Hamill, most of her post-SW work was off-camera.

You know, it saddens me to see us lose the famous people we have, but this one actually hurts. I can't explain it. No words to. Maybe because I remember Star Wars as far back as I can remember and she's always been there.

RIP.

It's notable that she had also worked with Seth Macfarlane for many years on Family guy. He had a tasteful farewell to her, I think in the one episode they have about her character deals with depression.
