We know that Gareth Edwards' untitled Star Wars spinoff will be released next December, but that's about it! Rumour has it that a group of bounty hunters and the plans for the first Death Star may be somehow involved with the plot, but that's only a rumour as of right now. Regardless, the cast appears to be coming together with Felicity Jones now in talks to star in the mysterious project. She was among the actresses (the others being Tatiana Maslany and Rooney Mara) testing for the role last week, but she now appears to be the frontrunner. The Hollywood Reporter adds that both Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) and Edgar Ramirez (Deliver Us From Evil) are "on the interest list" for the male lead. Could those rumours about Paul playing Han Solo be true? Probably not, but it looks like Jesse Pinkman will soon be heading into a Galaxy Far, Far Away...what do you think?

UPDATE: Based on reports from the other trades, it sounds like Jones IS in the movie!

If they're recasting Solo, since he's younger and Ford can't play a 30s-40s Solo, then Cooper or Pratt are the only choices really. Though I really hope Aaron Paul will get a role.
