New SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY Stills And Plot Details; How Long Before A NEW HOPE Is The Movie Set?

As part of Entertainment Weekly's summer movie preview, the magazine has shared some new details about Solo: A Star Wars Story including the fact it's set roughly a decade before the events of A New Hope. That makes sense (even if the age difference between Alden Ehrenreich and Harrison Ford at the time the latter shot Star Wars doesn't) but where do we find Han during the upcoming spinoff movie?

Well, the site notes that he's washed out of the Empire's Imperial Flight Academy and is now a fugitive alongside Qi'ra, something which leads to him joining up with Tobias Beckett to become a full-fledged criminal. Of course, even
more interesting than that is how Han's relationship with Lando Calrissian blossoms as that would go on to play a key role in the course of Han's life in The Empire Strikes Back

"Their relationship is many different things, as it is when you see them in the original films," Ehrenreich says. "I think they have very different styles." Donald Glover adds to that by addressing Lando's look: "Lando’s always the best-dressed person on that set. And I don’t say that lightly. There’s a lot of cool costumes and a lot of cool clothing. He takes pride in the clothing. It makes things easier. When people see you and you’re debonair, they tend to want to give you stuff easier."

I wish this movie had been made about, oh say 38 years ago? I don't have high expectations for another "new" SW movie (R1 being an exception) but I have a lot of pity for the lead actor and the crap he had to deal with trying to "be" Harrison Ford.

@lawndart - Even Rogue one, while I liked and enjoyed it, is just mindless action. There's no really good characters in that film. I can't even remember the names of half the team. I just remember Jynn, Cassian and K2SO.

Just the hard cold truth about this product. This video shows the info you need in an unbiased manner. It lets you get to your own conclusions:

In my view and paraphrasing Padme: "A change in leadership is needed!"

Rumour has it that CGI has been added to Alden's face to make him look more like Harrison Ford. This heist product will be a heist but to people's pocket!

It's quite fascinating how the same company can have their s### so together on their Marvel movies yet be so completely inept with their Star Wars movies. And I can't help but believe that at least some group of people operating within Disney simply want to destroy Star Wars altogether, whilst wasting their own money to do it, which on the surface seems really impossible, but the evidence suggests otherwise.
