As part of Entertainment Weekly's summer movie preview, the magazine has shared some new details about Solo: A Star Wars Story including the fact it's set roughly a decade before the events of A New Hope. That makes sense (even if the age difference between Alden Ehrenreich and Harrison Ford at the time the latter shot Star Wars doesn't) but where do we find Han during the upcoming spinoff movie?
Well, the site notes that he's washed out of the Empire's Imperial Flight Academy and is now a fugitive alongside Qi'ra, something which leads to him joining up with Tobias Beckett to become a full-fledged criminal. Of course, even more interesting than that is how Han's relationship with Lando Calrissian blossoms as that would go on to play a key role in the course of Han's life in The Empire Strikes Back.
"Their relationship is many different things, as it is when you see them in the original films," Ehrenreich says. "I think they have very different styles." Donald Glover adds to that by addressing Lando's look: "Lando’s always the best-dressed person on that set. And I don’t say that lightly. There’s a lot of cool costumes and a lot of cool clothing. He takes pride in the clothing. It makes things easier. When people see you and you’re debonair, they tend to want to give you stuff easier."
