The shadow of the dark side falls upon Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season Five as the series moves closer to the grim events of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. The big-screen action, unforgettable characters, and rousing adventure of the Star Wars Saga continue, as Jedi heroes face a galaxy of foes. With unparalleled visuals, sound, action and adventure, Star Wars: The Clone Wars continues the cinematic saga with the equivalent of a short animated Star Wars movie each week. Season Five is filled with explosive action, exotic worlds, intriguing characters and shocking turns as several major players face their destinies as the galaxy plunges into darkness.

Palpatine is gonna kick some ass! Also, they've mentioned this season is going to have a twist on the level with Darth Maul's return from last year. Judging from what we see in this trailer, it looks like something big is happening to Ahsoka...

It looks well done, but the hero characters from the prequels just suck so much that I can't drum up any interest to check it out, even so.

I've watched a few eps now and while it's far from perfect, I can honestly say that it is better than any of the movie prequels.

I can't wait to see Maul vs. Palpatine! I want to see a show like this that takes place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Assuming Ventress survives, I'd love to see her vs. Darth Vader.

I'd like to know how they break even financially with a high quality visual aesthetic like that! It's not always very well written, and sometimes some episodes are a little boring... but man does it look good! And season 5 looks even better... I'm impressed.

Agreed. I want them to remake revenge of the sith but do it clone wars style.

How much of the show have you seen? There are some hit and miss episodes but by the latter half of season three things really start picking up more.

Overall this looks good I do like that it seems the stakes are getting higher and higher. It also seems this will finally be the last season of the show which it should start to come to an end. A couple of things I picked up from this trailer.

1. Was that Boss from Republic Commando in there that is awesome that game was great.

2. I do not like that Palpatine went to personally take on Maul and he is now duel wielding lightsabers. If you remember from ep.6 Return of the Jedi he shows disdain calling it a "Jedi weapon" he seems to think as lightsabers beneath him.

@Grif: Yeah, I think Lucas said that he'd like to make 100 episodes (which would be about 5 seasons).

I've seen a few episodes. Not bad, definitely better than a lot of what the prequels offered. Looks like I'll have to catch up, since season five looks awesome.

An ARC Trooper! (or Clone Commando). So great to see them outside of Karen Traviss' awesome novels! I will watch this season just based on that fact alone.

hate the style , but the show has grown on me. To bad the prequels were never as good as the stories told in these animated shows like the cartoon network one WAS EPIC!

I don't know about the rest of you but since he tied up everything between episode 2 and 3 with first 2 batch of clone wars cartoons (the ones that came out before episode 3 and was mentioned in the crawl) why expand on something that didnt need to be I would have been more happy to see a series that showed the events from after Jedi. oh and George my son who is your "target audience" gave up on the show 2 episodes into season 1 just thought you should know.

I kinda fell off the wagon part way through season 3. Season 1 was meh, and Season 2 wasn't very good, in my opinion. Season 3 was better, but I'd kinda felt like I'd already invested too much time into it.

I just recently got back into it, and now I'm nearly done season 4, and it has been, by far, the best of the series. Seriously, do yourself a favour and watch Season 4. Outside of one lame episode near the beginning, it has been freakin' awesome.

They show u all this action, fighting, Obi Wan in Mandalorian armor, space fights...what they dont tell u is (as in evey season) the first 5 episodes will be about JACKASS JAR JAR BINKS and Padame...by then i loose intrest in the show...same as last season!
