It appears as if Solo: A Star Wars Story will open quite a bit lower than Rogue One did back in 2016 and while that wouldn't normally be cause for concern, the fact that extensive reshoots caused the budget to skyrocket obviously means that this news might not sit well with Disney. It is, however, early days for the spinoff and it could earn some money back overseas (it won't manage that feat in China, though).
Now, Solo's CinemaScore has been revealed and it's been given an A-. While that's only based on the opinions of a small percentage of moviegoers, that's still the lowest rating of the four Disney-era Star Wars movies and the same result the prequels received upon release between 1999 - 2005.
As of right now, the movie has 71% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 287 reviews (204 Fresh, 83 Rotten). The Critics Consensus reads, "A flawed yet fun and fast-paced space adventure, Solo: A Star Wars Story should satisfy newcomers to the saga as well as longtime fans who check their expectations at the theater door." The Audience Score currently sits at 57% but, as we know, that's easily manipulated.
