Look, we all know that the next trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will almost certainly be attached to Avengers: Age of Ultron, but StarWars.com has now possibly given us an indication of both the exact date AND time it'll debut before that. Hit the jump for details...
StarWars.com has today made the announcement that J.J. Abrams will appear alongside Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy at this year's Star Wars Celebration Anaheim in California. They'll be kicking off the show "in a big way" on Thursday morning, April 16, at 10am, but the site promises that "This will be a day long remembered - trust us." What exactly are they referring to?
We know that Abrams won't suddenly be announced as helming another Star Wars movie as Rian Johnson (Looper) is already attached to Episode VIII, so a new trailer seems most likely. If that is the case, it seems inevitable that it will be released online moments later, so there's a very good chance that this time and date will be when we next get a look at the movie. Potentially even more exciting is the possibility that they will take this opportunity to reveal the upcoming Star Wars slate, similar to what Marvel did last year. We might finally learn what those first two spinoffs are all about...
