STAR WARS: Disneyland Kyber Crystal Reveals Rey's First Post-THE RISE OF SKYWALKER Dialogue

Thanks to a new Disneyland collectible, we have our first quotes from Daisy Ridley's Rey "Skywalker" since the events of the Star Wars sequel trilogy...

We haven't seen or heard from Rey (Daisy Ridley) since the final scene of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker when she took the name "Rey Skywalker," but new dialogue may give us some idea of what to expect when the character returns for Lucasfilm's upcoming Rey-focused movie.

The quotes come from the latest wave of kyber crystals released in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge at Disney World and Disneyland, and would appear to give us a glimpse into the mind of the powerful Force-wielder following the events of the sequel trilogy.

Here are the quotes in full (via Gizmodo).

“When I met Luke Skywalker, I offered him his lightsaber and he tossed it away. But the Force doesn’t always make things easy. So you keep trying, that’s all you can do.”

“I came from something evil. Sometimes I still want to run from that. But I have learned there are things stronger than blood and that the smallest light can push back the deepest darkness.”

“I’m Rey, Rey Skywalker.”

“Maybe you’ve heard. I’m all the Jedi. So I’ve got that going for me.”

“Luke Skywalker was my master. So was his sister Leia. And her son, Ben, gave his life for me. I took the Skywalker name to honor them and their legacy.”

“The Force is so much bigger than any creed, any philosophy, anything that can fit in a bunch of books. Master Skywalker taught me that in his first lesson on Ahch-To. I knew right away I’d never forget it. That I’d never be the same.”

“I grew up in the desert and yet every night I dreamt of an island. A tiny dot in an endless sea. I saw it so clearly. But I never imagined it might be real. Real. And waiting for me.”

“Ben was right about letting go of the past. But not about killing it. My task is to make something new. Not by killing the past but by building on all that’s good in it.”

“The early Jedi sought to bind the galaxy’s wounds. They looked at what was broken and saw how to fix it. When I read that I thought, ‘Well, I’m good at that already.’”

“I’ve studied the sacred texts of the Jedi. Do you know what the most important pages are? It’s the blank ones left at the end because those ancient teachers knew the lessons weren’t finished and never could be.”

Now, we obviously have no way of knowing for sure if this dialogue will have any direct connection to the planned movie, but it is the first Star Wars media to canonically take place after The Rise of Skywalker, and could, at the very least, provide some insight into Rey's mindset heading into the next story.

Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy will direct the untitled movie, which will be set a whole fifteen years after the events of The Rise of Skywalker. Plot details are still mostly under wraps, but we do know that Rey will be a "powerful Jedi master" running her own training academy when we catch up with her.

Rey almost quotes Caddy Shack, so she has that going for her, which is nice

"It’s the blank ones left at the end because those ancient teachers knew the lessons weren’t finished and never could be."

Honestly, that's a pretty cool line. Other than that, it doesn't feel as important as it should be. I get it, but I don't see why they didn't save this for the movie. Same with Palpatine's broadcast in Fortnite.

This is even shittier than I could have imagined.

I love it.

Girl Brand Star Wars will lose 100s of Millions MORE for Disney.

Make it so!

@Batmangina - Watching Disney now is better than any sitcom I've ever seen. They make me laugh so freaking much! Bless their lack of creativity and intelligence! LOL

@WarMonkey - Agreed! I have made my peace with never seeing another quality MCU release and that Star Wars is long dead rotted corpse they will try and harvest organs from and have fully shifted to gleaning all my entertainment value from the corpse [frick]ing DEI ghouls 'creativity' on display.

Look at the Gay Black Doctor WHO triumphantly riding the reTARDIS to new Message Delivery heights - I mean, OTHER people look at it - I'm not wasting a nanosecond on that dumb shit.

I just wish there was a way to actively SUBTRACT money from Disney versus just not spending any...

That sounds AI generated, I just don't believe that was worded by an actual human.

Just honor Luke's and Leia's legacy by calling the new Jedi "the Skywalkers".

Brought to you by your friendly neighborhood consultant. That's $5K. Thank you, Disney.

@jekylhyde - I watched a Kevin Smith podcast where he had that theory before the movie came out. That the title was referencing the rise of THE Skywalker, as a new kind of Jedi.

I think it was a pretty good idea.

@SheepishOne - It would be an obvious choice and something that would take the franchise into a new direction. A new kind of Jedi, the Skywalkers, rising. They could have a "civil war" amongst themselves. A conflict about what their direction will be. Lots of different directions to go to.
