According to Deadline, Dominic Monaghan is set to reunite with J.J. Abrams for Star Wars: Episode IX. The trade doesn't reveal any details about which character he'll be playing, however.

Monaghan, who also had a small role as Beak in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, actually expressed interest in being a part of the iconic franchise when Abrams was preparing to shoot The Force Awakens, and now he has his chance. “The galaxy far far away has had almost as much influence as the one I live in, so I am delighted to be involved,” the Lost alum said.

Star Wars: Episode IX is set to hit theaters on December 20th, 2019.

@smgmayhem - A movie called Pet last year that was strange to say the least and there is a brand new Australian tv show Bite Club that started last week. The first one was ok. In both instances he plays someone not quite right in the head, which is always good for him

I never made the relation until now that he played one of the main Hobbits and was also in Lost. :O

What’s funny is a friend of mine produced a movie called PET that he starred in and randomly gave me his entire wardrobe from it. 🤷‍♂️😂
