STAR WARS: EPISODE IX Promo Poster Leaks Online Finally Revealing The Knights Of Ren And More

A new promo poster for Star Wars Episode IX has unexpectedly leaked online, and it features a first look at a number of new characters, including the sinister Knights of Ren! Hit the jump to take a look...

Lucasfilm is expected to reveal the official title and first trailer for Star Wars Episode IX at Star Wars Celebration next month, but a promo poster has leaked online - via Reddit - in the meantime which leaves us with plenty to discuss.

We'll get to that a little later, but the biggest takeaway here is the fact we finally get a proper look at the Knights of Ren; they all bear a striking resemblance to Kylo, but appear to be wielding some ancient looking weapons rather than lightsabers or anything we typically associate with the Sith.

Those red Stormtroopers are also pretty fierce looking, and the woman in purple must be Keri Russell's still very secretive character.

Now, before the typical cries of "Fake!" begin, it's important to note that this isn't a theatrical poster. Instead, it's the sort of thing you'd find being sold in stores or adorning toy boxes. In other words, i's promo art put together with live-action imagery, but still very spoilery when it comes to reveals!

With any luck, more leaks are coming so be sure to stay tuned for CBM for further updates.

Glad to see Kylo's mask is coming back! That thing looked awesome and Rian Johnson is a fool for dropping it.

@Super12 - I thought the mask was stupid. The whole point why Johnson destroyed the mask was to acknowledge that JJ Abrams made a mistake of turning Kylo Ren into a rip-off & inferior version of Darth Vader. It's kinda stupid for JJ Abrams to bring it back because that's backtracking. Backtracking never works for a film, just look at BVS trying to apologize for MOS's destruction. But then again, JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson were never on the same page nor would the originally planned 3rd director would've been either.

The OT was good because each film had a different director and each of them advanced star wars differently. JJ Abrams seems to be going back to a safe zone, but I guess we won't know what to expect til a trailer drops.

@Super12 - Johnson is a "fool" for the entire movie he made!

JJ realised how underutilized 3PO was in the last two so he's making him a certified badass.

I wonder if C-3PO holding Chewie's Bowcaster and wearing his bandolier is hinting at Chewbacca's death...?

This will be where a very generic poster, and one of many typical Star Wars posters is claimed to be something special. It is a just another typical collage poster. Nothing innovative about it. Same shitty SJW characters and the Knights Of Ren who look like kids out trick or treating. LMFAO!

@ManDeth - Its not movie poster...
Also typical "SJW" comment because women and black people, triggered right wingers hahaha.

@Omega - Thanks for the compliment! I'd hate to be called one of the group thinking sheep on the left who spent the last 3 years in a state of delusion. And even with their delusion destroyed, they are now relapsing back into it. It's quite sad actually.

But unfortunately you haven't been paying attention. All of the new characters are SJW characters...even the white males. Because all are used to tell SJW bullshit!

@Omega - what's wrong in asking for great character's instead of more jar jars?

@ManDeth - I really dislike the new trilogy, but seeing folks accuse others who do like it of being "sheep" whilst they themselves run around in a flock bleating "SJW! SJW!" is equally hilarious and sad.
Tempestjohn
Tempestjohn - 3/27/2019, 12:40 PM
@Kyos - people are sheep and the only people who see color first are the one's from the left.
ManDeth
ManDeth - 3/28/2019, 12:42 PM
@Kyos - I see what you are trying to say but it doesn't work. One does not have to have a group mentality to recognize those who are PC cultists or SJWs.

SJWs rarely even deny what they are. In the case of Kennedy, Johnson and Abrams' fan fiction version of Star Wars, one would need to be very slow in the head to not know it is SJW-Star Wars.

Men have been portrayed in negative ways that fits with the feminist narrative.

Capitalism was portrayed in a way that fits with leftist narratives.

Women have been portrayed in ways that fits with feminist propaganda.

Nearly all of those involved in the SJW-Star Wars have been open about their liberalism. It is no accident that their Star Wars is just another Hollywood political propaganda machine.

And you think someone needs to be led by a group to realize Disney's Star Wars is SJW political garbage?

I'm not holding my breath in anticipation. If the Knights are Luke's students then they've already missed their chance to tie it in a meaningful way

I liked the idea of the Knights of Ren back when Episode 7 was being promoted.

I thought it was interesting, that what if Ren was more like a Spritual Leader and these were his followers, preaching the Dark Side not as something to fear, but as a better way - in reality they oppose anyone who does stand in there way.

Essentially, like how the original Star Wars used WW2 for its good and bad guys, now life is a bit more grey, with religious and suprematism going on and Star Wars still be an adventure, but with these modern undertones could have been great.

So does the image apparently being removed by Disney confirm it was real?
