Jason from Making Star Wars posted an article with a new source that showed emails between the two regarding potential spoilers galore which he posted in full. Now I'm not going to copy the exact emails but will dig out the most juicy stuff. (NOTE: Jason did mention that these are very dubious but some of the stuff matches up with stuff his trusted sources have told him and that some of it contradicts what his trusted sources say! But it's been a slow couple of weeks so hey ho)
I wil try to break all the stuff down so that it is easier to follow by writing it all as a jigsaw puzzle, with the characters acting as pieces of the puzzle.
First up REY
Rey is the daughter of Han Solo and Leia Organa. She grows up to become Force Sensitive like her mother Leia and Uncle Luke. Luke begins to initially train her in the ways of the Force from a young age but Rey is scared of being part of a Force Family and abandons her training, especially after Luke disappears. She lives as a junker on Tattoine in secret so nobody knows she is the daughter of Rebel Heroes Han and Leia. It is explained how she meets FINN and POE DAMERON but helps the 2 escape from an Imperial Brig and steal a Tie Fighter which crashes before they meet up with her father Han Solo who helps them escape from Tattoine on the Millenium Falcon. They meet up with Han because they find a lightsaber which holds "the key to defeating the Empire". They later go on a quest to find Luke and bring him back into the fold to help defeat the Empire. Rey, Finn and Luke end up coming into conflict with Kylo-Ren on the snow planet in the climax of the film where after Luke is injured, Rey briefly battles Kylo-Ren before they flee in the Falcon driven by Poe Dameron. During the course of the film it is shown that Rey falls head over heels for the handsome and confident Poe Dameron.
Next up POE DAMERON
Poe is a cocky, arragont fighter pilot for the Rebel Alliance. Before the start of the film his X-Wing is sabotaged and during an ariel fight with Imperial Forces his X-Wing crash lands and he is captured by the Empire. He is locked up with Imperial Deserter Finn but the two are freed by Rey who Dameron finds attractive. Poe follows Rey along with Finn on a quest to find Rebel leader Han Solo after the 3 find a Lightsaber and a further quest to find Jedi Master Luke Skywalker. At the climax of the film Poe flies the heroes away from main villain Kylo-Ren.
FINN
Finn was an only child who's parents were murdered by the Empire and Finn taken captured and put into an Imperial Cadet program to become a Stormtrooper to battle Rebel Forces. Finn is a terrible Stormtrooper and hates the Empire. Finn ends up in an Imperial Brig along with Rebel Pilot Poe Dameron. The 2 are freed by the mysterious Rey who Finn instantly finds attractive and the trio steal a Tie Fighter before that also crashes and Rey hides Finn and Poe in her speeder back on Tattoine. Finn follows Rey in her quest to find her uncle, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker and later during the climax of the film Finn shows promise using a lightsaber to deflect blaster fire.
HAN SOLO
Still as brash, arrogant and cocky as ever and still a Rebel Leader on the front lines along with his mate CHEWBACCA. He and Leia had 2 children: Rey and Kylo-Ren with both being born Force Sensitive. Rey diserts her Jedi training and lives on Tattoine in secret so Solo arranged to have a watcher for her in secret, an old Rebel Veteran. The Watcher contacts Solo after Rey and her 2 new companions Poe Dameron and Finn find a lightsaber. Solo doesn't want his daughter to have a part in the plan to find Luke Skywalker but reluctantly allows it. Solo gets the 2 off of Tattoine in the Falcon via a battle with Imperial Forces. They manage to retrieve Luke from his exile and Solo joins Luke, Rey, Finn and Poe in the battle against the Imperials and also against his son Kylo-Ren. There isn't much said only that Han asks Luke to kill him to save one of Han's loved ones, I'm guessing Rey.
LUKE SKYWALKER
After defeating the Sith at the Battle of Endor, Luke did as Yoda instructed and carried on to rebuilding the Jedi Order. Luke began to train his niece and nephew: Rey and Kylo-Ren as well as other Padawans. Kylo-Ren has an obssession with past events involving Force Users, particulary his grandfather Anakin Skywalker, who seeks power. Luke puts himself into exile by guarding the tomb of an Ancient Sith Lord to stop Kylo-Ren from opening it. Whilst guarding the tomb, Luke experiences mental tortue from the spirit of the Sith Lord for years and his mind is now in a fragile state. He is ultimately rescued by Rey, Finn and Dameron in the Falcon and taken to the snow planet for the climax of the film to face his nephew Kylo-Ren. He battles Kylo-Ren and injures him but doesn't kill him at the behest of Solo. Luke is then injured somehow and seperated from Rey and Finn as Kylo-Ren comes after them and Finn helps Luke onto the Falcon while Rey holds off her brother before they escape.
LEIA ORGANA
Leia is a Rebel Martyr who is in Hiding with other Rebel Leaders as their forces have dimished against a rejuvenated Empire and their are traitors within her own group. Leia at some point in the film is trying to negotiate deals with the Hutt Crime Family to help fund a Rebel Super Weapon which is basically a Massive EMP device that will shut down Imperial ships causing them to crash.
MAX VAN SYDOW'S CHARACTER
Max Van Sydow's character is the "Watcher" who is an old Rebellion friend of Han Solo who is asked to watch over his daughter Rey on Tattoine while she lives there in secret. After Rey, Finn and Poe find a lightsaber, they take it to show Sydow's character who gets in touch with Solo who comes to help them.
DOMHALL GLEESON'S CHARACTER
His character is the son of Luke Skywalker and an unnamed mother. He is a Rebel defector who left the Rebel Cause after they began constructing a Super Weapon. He works on the IMPERIAL HAND which is the Empire's Super Weapon, effectively a massive Star Destroyer. He is trying to destroy the Empire's super weapon from within.
GWENDOLINE CHRISTIE'S CHARACTER
Christie's character is a Shock Trooper Commander who is effectively one of the Imperial's leaders. She wields a LIghtsaber and wears a Chrome Stormtrooper outfit. She is described as Demeaning, arrogant, vicious and fearless. Her main plot throughout the film is trying to track down and kill Rey, Finn and Poe Dameron. She kills at least 2 Jedi Padawans in the film. She appears as though she used to be beautiful but is now battle hardened with scars.
MY NOTES ON THE INFORMATION
I'm going to try and fill in the rest of the pieces here. From this information, it will appear as though ANDY SERKIS will be voicing and possibly playing the Ancient Sith Lord spirit. The quote from the trailer "There has been an awakening, have you felt it?"and what have you is what he is saying to Luke whilst he is trying to break Luke down to open his tomb. The Empire have been building a Super Weapon aboard their super Star Destroyer the IMPERIAL HAND, which is basically a massive Siesmic Charge Weapon of some kind that can split a planet into 2. The Rebel super weapon is a massive EMP that cuts out all technology. The lightsaber that is the main driving point of the plot is hidden inside of BB-8, Rey's droid although Rey is not awake of this. The lightsaber is said to hold "Information vital to the Rebellion" and that the Crystal inside of the unlocks the tomb at the castle that Luke is guarding.
What do you think to all this? The majority of it is basically fleshed out things we've herd before and some of it is new. All in all it sounds very good to me!
