I promised myself that I wasn't going to watch anymore trailers or read any of the articles until I watched the movie. My resolve is weak :(

There is also another version that brightens the scene up and you can see the red stripe on the leather jacket, the same as on Finn's jacket and in the the same place on his chest. Finn is lying on his back with the back of his head to the camera; his legs are pointed to to left side out of frame, Rey is sitting next to him on his right but she is facing the camera.

Personally, I am about 75% sure that it is Finn now. We know he fights Kylo on the ice planet. Odds are he loses. The scene with Rey crying is on the ice planet. The only question is how badly is Finn hurt.

Not sure if first to speculate about this aspect. If it is Finn lying as I described earlier, then he is resting against something or someone. I think that someone is Chewie. JJ purposefully darkened the lower half of that shot for the trailer. So, it is tough to tell if there are one or two people on the ground. There was a toy design/sketch where Chewie had a robotic arm, maybe Kylo takes down Han, Chewie and Finn.

Here is how that scene might play out:

Rey, Han, Finn and Chewie are on the ice planet base of the First Order during the climax of the film. They are either escaping captivity or leaving after the mission. They are confronted by Kylo near the Falcon or another transport. Han tries to talk to Kylo (maybe his son maybe not). (If he is Han's son, then this is when and why Kylo takes off his helmet/mask.) Han fails in his attempt to talk to Kylo and Kylo strikes down Han clearly killing him. Chewie flips out and attacks Kylo. Kylo chops Chewie's arm off and force pushes him aside. Then he turns his attention to Rey and Finn. This is where he says the quote from his doll, "that weapon is mine". The new trailer shows what happens next. Finn loses and is disarmed, literally. Rey rushes to Finn who is still alive, but in shock/unconscious. Not sure what would happen next.

If Rey is Kylo's sister, then letting her live makes more sense. Finn, Han and Chewie are either dead or injured, certainly no threat to Kylo any longer. So Kylo questions Rey, Kylo's doll has another line that may fit here, "is it true that you are a scavenger?" This question and the tone used make more way more sense if Rey is his sister that he has not seen in years. (The tone is eerily calm and has a note of concern to it.) Maybe he tries to recruit her, maybe not. Kylo force grabs Anakin's lightsaber from the ground and leaves Rey in the snow tending to Finn and Chewie. He has what he wanted.

That is my guess as to how the scene plays out. I am probably 90% wrong, but who knows. it seems plausible to me and it is based off of the trailers and toys.
