I wasn't wild about this movie, but not for the normal reasons you've heard. I actually like how Luke was handled.

But I felt it was too long. But the time we got to the final battle I had had enough. Two hours is plenty for a SW film.

Also, I really liked Finn in Episode 7, and I feel they didn't know what to do with him here.

@Indoorsman - I really disliked two things about the movie, Leia's flying through space and the Casino story. Besides that I found it to be very enjoyable and love how Luke was handled. Overall I found the movie to be about failure and how people handle failure in different ways.

@Evansly - I go back and forth on the Casino story. On the one hand, they accomplished none of their stated goals. The mission was a total failure. On the other hand, that's also the point. The point is that amidst their abject failure, they helped inspire rebellion in others and that's basically the whole point of the movie. So, it doesn't work, but it works exactly as intended, if that makes sense.

@BackwardGalaxy - Exactly, that does go back to the point entire movie is about failure. I just feel this could have been done over less time, or at least in a more interesting way. I will say I loved Benicio Del Toro but still think it could have been told in a more streamlined fashion.

@Evansly - "Overall I found the movie to be about failure and how people handle failure in different ways."

Haha how ironic. Cause it failed in so many ways.

@nikgrid - Do explain how it failed in so many ways.

@Evansly - Hey man watch this video. The film is a [frick]ing mess, it broke SW canon and character Assassinated Luke Skywalker.
