Star Wars: The Last Jedi makes its grand debut today, and to celebrate British Vogue has published a batch of photos featuring the cast of the film.

While we're used to seeing our heroes in some pretty wild costumes, they are absolutely stunning in their fancy outfits. Included in the shoot is John Boyega (Finn), Kelly Marie Tran (Rose), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), and many more of the cast and crew. Surprisingly, Daisy Ridley, who plays arguably the most important character in the new trilogy, Rey, is not to be found in the gallery. Perhaps she had another engagement?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now in theaters!

People don't want to admit it but one of the reasons they hate it is because it shits all over the mysteries of TFA.

@ashkan1373 - Well, there are some moments I could understand people getting pissed about. But you have to see it for yourself just to really understand it. Some issues in TFA are addressed in TLJ.

Finally even i can praise Kylo Ren.
He left me nothing in TFA, but here he's different.

It is weird Christie, does so much press for these movies. In both movies combined she’s in the movies for a few minutes, and is a complete joke.

I was one of the lucky few to see TLJ early, and watching it I already knew they were going to be some mixed signals with everyone else. I still think that this was one of the best entries in the Star Wars Universe. I enjoyed it for what it was, even thought if they wanted to truly be different, they could've found another way for Luke in the conclusion.

After the fan backlash I think that we will always be in the Skywalker story line. This shows that people will not accept a departure from the main mythology.

@Forthas -

It's mostly the fault of the film makers.

They decided to throw in the original trilogy main cast to convince people to watch The Force Awakens - and with each of them they killed off they lose some of that fanbase for the character as they view it as a natural end to that characters story-line and a jumping off point.

They are trying desperately to cling to the original trilogy and that is what has effectively screwed them over, even the spin-off movies are focused on characters from the original trilogy. Reminding people constantly of the original trilogy does not let people get attached to the new characters - and that's if the new character were even well written.

@Scarilian - I agree! The Last Jedi is an overreaction to fans who were critical that Force Awakens was too much like New Hope. But they keep utilizing fan service to lure them in so when they make hard turns people who came to the film to see their "old friends" are put off by the way they are treated in these films in service to new characters.

My boy Driver looks good!

Kylo Ren was a beast in TLJ. Driver really stepped his game. Fantastic villain!

Also, looking at those gifs - man Johnson's visuals were really amazing!

@kylo0607 -

Great visuals do not make a great movie unfortunately - but yes, some of these are pretty great - though mostly the work of countless VFX artists/CGI designers, etc...

I did find some locations set wise to be rather empty, such as Snoke's chamber - which did not really fit with what we were told about him prior via the cast/crew.

@Scarilian - Sorry you don't like it.

I really enjoyed it. As a SW fan I was very happy with it!

***SPOILERS***

So they off Han in TFA, off Luke in TLJ, and we lose Carrie in real life...curious to see how episode ix will draw in any type of crowd. I mean I enjoy the new characters but I'm not nearly as invested in their story. Just don't see them pulling in the astronomical numbers that SW is used to.
