Warner Bros. recently released a full trailer for Christopher Nolan's Tenet, and while it was careful not to lift the curtain completely, it did give fans a much better idea of what to expect from the mind-bending plot.

Now, Total Film Magazine has unveiled its latest newsstand and subscribers covers, and they provide news looks at the main characters played by John David Washington (BlacKkKlansman) and Robert Pattinson (The Batman).

We were hoping the new trailer would reveal an updated release date for Tenet, but the studio doesn't seem to have made a final decision as to when the movie will hit theaters. As far as we know it is still scheduled for July 17, but that's seen as highly ambitious by analysts, and WB actually removed that date from the film's official Twitter account for the trailer drop, before replacing it shortly after.

We should get an official update fairly soon, but for now check out the covers below along with the new trailer, and let us know what you think in the comments.

John David Washington is the new Protagonist in Christopher Nolan’s original sci-fi action spectacle “Tenet.” Armed with only one word—Tenet—and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time.
Not time travel. Inversion.
The international cast of “Tenet” also includes Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, with Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh.
Nolan wrote and directed the film, utilizing a mixture of IMAX® and 70mm film to bring the story to the screen. “Tenet” is produced by Emma Thomas and Nolan. Thomas Hayslip served as executive producer.

btw they had to change this movie's logo because a bike company complained, and WB/Nolan bowed down:

I was calling it time bending but inversion is even more crazy. Invert- to put upside down or in the opposite position order or arrangement. And they're inverting time. This is going to [frick] some heads up.

I'm secretly hoping there's an Inception cameo that puts all this in the same world and sets up a new movie.
