Stan Winston School has uploaded a new video that features their brilliant work on James Cameron's Terminator 2: Judgement Day. The behind-the-scenes video focuses specifically on their work regarding the T-1000 liquid metal effects. Those effects were done practically and not with computers, which will surely surprise a lot of fans of the film. So when you see Arnold Schwarzenegger's T-800 sliced Robert Patrick's T-1000 with a steel rod, or Split T-1000's head with shotgun from point-blank range you can marvel at the craftsmanship of Stan Winston Studio.

CGI be used in these cases only when it's way to expensive or physics doesn't allow it(and even then it could just be used to enhance).

It would be interesting to see T800 in a single movie go back in time in all Terminator movies.

cool. But I really wished they used some cgi when t100 is dragging behind the cop car during the get-away from the psych ward. It really just looks super lazy and unimpressive in the midst of such a ground breaking visual film.

Also, Arnold's cigar burn on his chest changes sides for a brief shot during the biker bar scene - watch for it :)

I love me some T2

Thanks for posting
