In the near future, a hostile alien race called the Formics have attacked Earth. If not for the legendary heroics of International Fleet Commander Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley), all would have been lost. In preparation for the next attack, the highly esteemed Colonel Hyrum Graff (Harrison Ford) and the International Military are training only the best young minds to find the future Mazer.

Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield), a shy but strategically brilliant boy, is recruited to join the elite. Arriving at Battle School, Ender quickly and easily masters increasingly difficult challenges and simulations, distinguishing himself and winning respect amongst his peers. Ender is soon ordained by Graff as the military’s next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School. Once there, he’s trained by Mazer Rackham himself to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.

ENDER'S GAME, directed by Gavin Hood (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), and the cast includes: Asa Butterfield, Ben Kingsley, Harrison Ford, Hailee Steinfeld, Abigail Breslin and Viola Davis. Coming to theaters November 1, 2013!

Cool! I'm looking forward to this, and I've been reading the novel, and so far, this looks pretty accurate!

I can GUARANTEE this will be one of the biggest flops of the year and will, without question, be one of the worst sci-fi films ever made. All one has to do is look at the director, Gavin Hood....the same, "brilliant" filmmaker behind X-Men: Origins: Wolverine.

Enough said.

@kman He also made a film called Tsotsi that did well (at least in the eyes of critics)

Good directors can make bad films, and bad directors can make good films. I'm not optimistic about this movie. But at the very least I'll give it a chance.

All the people who are calling Ender's Game completely unimaginative and terrible science fiction have clearly never read the book.

Ender's Game is the winner of the 1985 Nebula Award for Best Novel and the 1986 Hugo Award for Best Novel.

The Nebula Awards annually recognize the best works of science fiction or fantasy published in the U.S. during the previous year.

The Hugo Awards are a set of awards given annually for the best science fiction or fantasy works and achievements of the previous year.

Let's not forget that the book has dominated the New York Times Bestsellers list time and time again for over 30 years now.

Stop being whiny 13 year olds and go pick up a copy of the book, read it, then come back here and give an informed opinion.

Stop basing your opinion of the movie based on who the director is and what you think the movie is about.

And most importantly remember...

The enemy's gate is down.
