Wes Bentley Rounds Out The Cast Of Christopher Nolan's INTERSTELLAR

The "final vacant slot" in the impressive ensemble cast of Christopher Nolan's Interstellar has been filled, as The Hunger Games' Wes Bentley is negotiating to join The Dark Knight Trilogy writer-director's highly anticipated sci-fi project.

With filming expected to begin later this year, the Paramount/Warner Bros. Pictures co-production Interstellar has added yet another name to its, er, stellar cast. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wes Bentley (The Hunger Games, Lovelace) is negotiating for what's being called the final empty spot in the line-up of the Christopher Nolan-directed sci-fi epic. Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Casey Affleck, John Lithgow and Topher Grace headline the highly anticipated film. As expected, plot and character details are being kept under wraps; however, sources tell THR that Bentley has a "meaty supporting role."

With a script written by Jonathan Nolan (and later rewritten by Chris to merge his own original idea), Interstellar follows a heroic group of explorers who travel through a wormhole and into another dimension. The ideas are based on the work of physicist Kip Thorne, who's also an executive producer. With filming expected to begin later this year, the movie is slated for a November 7th, 2014 theatrical release and will be shot in IMAX.

DAMN. This cast rocks. This will be a GREAT movie.

In Nolan we trust.

Nolan NEVER disappoints.

His worst movies ( According to fans TDKR, memento etc),
still kick ass. You can't say that about many directors.

As much as the marvelites like to hate Nolan, it doesn't change the fact that this man makes amazing movies and knows how to pick a wicked cast.

I'd be good with him as Batman if he had a deeper voice. Whoever plays the character needs that (which is why I'm not huge on the idea of Ryan Gosling playing him anymore).

I'm a Marvelite, and I can say that Nolan makes awesome movies - cept for TDKR though.

I don't know this guy at all, except loving him in Hunger Games cuz of his beard & cuz he likes underdogs & eventually was order-to-kill-yourself by President!

So happy to see him get his career move ahead; sorry move light years ahead cuz of Nolan!

Lets see who in INTERSTELLAR gets a career bump like JGL got from INCEPTION & TOM HARDY, well he started there & almost stole everything!
& who I this cast is Elen Page; that Nolan wouldn't call again!

I would like to see Bentley play Bruce Wayne/Batman. This casting puts him in the Nolan-verse and only a few degrees of separation from that. Given his past substance issues, he could very well end up being DC/Warner Brothers Robert Downey Jr-style comeback story.
