Will Godzilla Battle Biollante In Upcoming Reboot?

Purists will get a kick out of this; a redesign by sculptor Henry A. Arce could be pointing to this monster being in the film, more info after the jump.

A lot of you are reading and saying to yourself, "Who in the heck is Biollante?" Simply put, she is a clone of Godzilla, his DNA combined with a rosebush and the spirit of a scientist's daughter. Now that you know a bit of history, on to this rumor/news.

It was reported here by CBM's own Nailbiter111 that the below sculpture could very well be Godzilla's design for the upcoming film.

So, if you visit the site of the sculptor, Henry A. Arce, you'll find a few re-designs of the plant monster, Biollante. (Right next to the Godzilla designs, intriguing.) They're labeled "Biollante Redesigns." Check out the amazing work below.

If this is true, it would be awesome. Of course, I personally don't see it, it would cost A LOT to get one of TOHO's monsters. I think Legendary Studios will create their own original monster for the big G to battle. Still, hopefully this is true.

For more on Biollante, check out Godzilla vs. Biollante. (That film still needs a proper DVD release.)

The upcoming film is currently being written by David S. Goyer, expect a 2014 release sadly.
