XIII Graphic Novels Coming to Television

XIII Graphic Novels Coming to Television

XIII, based on the graphic novels by Jean Van Hamme, will be brought to television as a joint Canadian/French production starring actor Stuart Townsend (the remake of The Night Stalker, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen). Described as a conspiracy/spy thriller, the graphic novels have been around for 25 years.

Offers The Hollywood Reporter, "Townsend will play 'XIII, a former secret agent who cannot remember his past and thus sets out to uncover his true identity. Hunted by an anti-government organization, XIII quickly realizes that the closer he gets to the truth, the more deadly the mission becomes."

Thirteen episodes of the series will be produced. It will air on France's Canal Plus and Canada's Showcase. While XIII hasn't been picked up in the U.S. yet, one would imagine it will only be a matter of time.

I thought this was all ready made? Starring Stephen Dorff and Val Kilmer! Thou if you ask me, it sucked big time!

They should make a movie trilogy about this! No tv series!
Tv series are so long! It continues...continues... and continues! The End is never coming! Townsend as XIII?!... WTF!:/

Just make the movie trilogy and get Ridley Scott as the director and Brad Pitt in the starring role!:)... or Chris Nolan as the director! He wanted to do something like Bond so give him this!

@Lee @Alex yeah I saw only the first half of the miniseries on NBC, though NBC doesnt make TV shows or mini series like they use to (only Law & ORder SVU is worth watching now on NBC)

@Alex I read the Bourne books in HS, I always tell people the 2 major differences were Marie Kreutz never died and the villian was Carlos The Jackal (who was caught in 1994, couldnt make him a villian in 2002 obviously)
