Devin Faraci from Chud.com had a chance to sit down with the young actor Johnny Simmons and talk about his role in the upcoming Edgar Wright directed Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Simmons is probably best known for his role in Jennifer's Body - he was the guy who could act aka Megan Fox's friends' boyfriend. So in short - he's very talented.

Simmons who seems very humble and admitted the only difference between his movie character and him in real life is maybe just a change of clothes, admits his favorite sequence in the movie doesn't involve him directly either, "The Gideon fight. Jason Schwartzman’s one of my favorite actors, for sure." said Simmons when asked what his favorite scene in the film was.

Simmons also managed to get the role in one of the more unusual ways - a facebook friend request from Edgar Wright - leading to some messaging back and forth and eventually Wright offering him the part - over Facebook.

Simmons explained how he first met Wright - not sure if it was really him because of an alias he uses on Facebook.

"So I’m going to coffee with him the next day, still thinking this is all bullsh*t, you know, and there’s Edgar Wright sitting there. So the whole time we were having this meeting, and I’m just like holy crap, it’s really you and I just got Young Neil, okay. But he offered over Facebook." said Simmons.

Although Simmons doesn't have an action scene in the film, he mentions in the full interview that he has one epic scene near the end dealing with a guitar and the band Sex-Bob-omb.

"Everybody has a stunt except me. Every single person has a stunt, but I don’t have a stunt, there’s nothing. No wire, no pulling. I try to get in on the danger, but there’s nothing." said Simmons, "I begged him (Edgar Wright). If there’s another one, I’m definitely getting a stunt."

The movie opens this August - check out the other cast interviews on my fansite or hit the link to Chud for the full interview with Simmons.
