HAMILTON Creator And Former Star Lin-Manuel Wants To Bring CARNAGE To The MCU

With Hamilton's Lin-Manuel Miranda moving on from the popular Broadway show, how long before he joins the MCU? If he has his way, he would love to bring a little Carnage to Spider-Man's next Homecoming.

On the last episode of Meet the Movie Press, host Simon Thompson revealed that upcoming guest Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton) told him that he would like to play Spider-Man symbiote villain, Carnage.  Thompson reports:

"He (Miranda) is a big fan of Marvel. And there is one particular character that he would actually like to play. It’s Carnage. He said if Disney and Marvel were looking at doing a Maximum Carnage movie or bringing Carnage in (the MCU) as a character, he wants to be Carnage. Genuinely as a fan, he would love to play Carnage. That’s a goal of his."

The Disney connection is definitely there as Lin-Manuel recently starred in their upcoming animated pic, Moana, and will co-star in the studio's upcoming Marry Poppins remake. While he doesn't exactly fit the bill of most comic book reader expectations for Cletus Kasady, Marvel has proven that they're sometimes willing to go the opposite direction with their casting selections.

After Tom Holland fights Vulture (and maybe a few more villains) in Homecoming, might he find himself beset by Venom and Carnage at his next school dance?

After the failure of Spider-Man 3, do you think general audiences would want to see another symbiote villain in a Spider-Man film?

I've seen him in interviews and he has this kinda manic energy about him which could be cool for Carnage. Not my first choice but quite interesting

@Bokis - Glenn Howerton is the only proper choice. Deserves a spot in MCU after being second for Star Lord

@siryk - He'll be the MCU Deadpool after Reynolds crashes and burns.

(He said, half-trolling, but not really, but mostly, but not at all.)

not going to happen. they can go for Venom one more time but Carnage ... that's too much. Still ... they can put Carnage in one of the Netflix series. Spiderman vs Carnage thing won't happen but he could go against someone else. Venom vs Carnage in Neflix spinoff series ?
