MORBIUS: Newly Revealed Set Photo Includes A Couple Of Very Cool VENOM Easter Eggs

Morbius takes place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (well, sort of), and given some Venom Easter Eggs which have been spotted in a newly surfaced set photo, it seems the same came be said for Venom 2...

The first trailer for Morbius included a surprise appearance from Michael Keaton's Adrian Toomes, possibly confirming that the movie is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe...or that the Spider-Man movies are also set in Sony's Universe of Marvel Characters (SUMC).

Whatever the case may be, Morbius and Venom are clearly part of the same world as a newly revealed set photo (via Reddit) features a nod to the symbiote courtesy of some graffiti. However, look closely, and you'll notice another nod to the Venom franchise thanks to a mention of Kaine. In the comic books, he's Peter Parker's clone and better known as the Scarlet Spider.

For now, there's no reason to suspect that the latter is going to make his big screen debut in the near future, but it's hard to imagine Morbius not setting the stage for Venom 2 in some way.

That sequel is also bound to tease Spider-Man 3, especially as we know that the Living Vampire's big screen debut will include a number of references to Peter Parker being a wanted criminal.

We'll have to wait and see on that front, especially as there's currently no guarantee that Morbius will be released as planned this July. After all, Wonder Woman 1984 has already been pushed back to August over COVID-19 concerns, so depending on what happens from here, the same could happen to Sony's next Marvel film (unless it ends up being released on Digital).

Why stop there? Leopold Stryke is also confirmed.

@Reeds2Much - graffiti appears to say "KANE" and not KAINE. A closeup of the windows on the picture of the building also shows ROYT KANE or ROY7 KANE...
...the small red grafitti to the left of Venom also appears to show a red rocket ship going after Venom... was Carnage also from space and in pursuit of Venom?
...and apparently Venom will form into the shape of an evil child's balloon in the next movie.

"Venom will appear as graffiti in Morbius movie."

Is graffiti the extent of connectivity in the SUMC

@BlackBeltJones - They can get entire characters from a different studio's universe, but getting Tom Hardy on set was too much of a logistical nightmare

So it seems as though Sony's plan is to have their characters connect in ways that would make sense, like cameos that serve the story, but rather through graffiti....

I am probably one of the few who sincerely disliked Far From Home and am not looking forward to how this plays out with these other two films.
Already see it:

Venom sees articles or a broadcast of how Spider-Man “killed” Quentin Beck, and he is gonna be like: “Its time we visit the Big Apple”.
And this is how he will learn of Spider-Man’s identity being Peter Parker since EVERYONE is on it at this point.

Already lost the deep connection of how and why Venom hates Spider-Man.
