Sony Pictures has just debuted the first official theatrical poster for Spider-Man: No Way Home, and it gives us a first look at the returning Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe).

The poster is very similar to the one that leaked online a few days ago, but with a few intriguing additions. Doctor Octopus' (Alfred Molina) tentacles can be seen reaching for the Webhead (Tom Holland), but we also get some obvious teases for Sandman (Thomas Haden Church) and Electro (Jamie Foxx), as well as a (very small) glimpse of Gobby on his glider.

It's obviously difficult to make out many details, but the villain does appear to be wearing the same armored costume he donned in Sam Raimi's original Spider-Man. We have heard there will be some significant alterations, though, so perhaps this is simply the studio's way of keeping his "final form" under wraps for a while longer.

UPDATE: A high-res version of the one-sheet has been released, and, while it still appears to have the same overall design, Green Goblin's costume does seem to be slightly different.

We're still waiting on that second trailer, but this is a good sign it shouldn't be too much longer. Will we finally get confirmation that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will be reprising their respective Spider-Man roles? There's a chance they will save a full reveal for closer to the movie's release, but we reckon a few hints, at the very least, are a safe enough bet.

Keep an eye out for updates! Spider-Man: No Way Home swings into theaters on December 17.

@ShellHead - Judging by the large projects he's taking on lately and the amount of money he makes doing this stuff, that's gonna start sounding like a compliment soon.

@Himura - If you've seen this guy's car collection then it's obvious he's making some serious coin from his artwork. Not all of it sticks for me, but the guy has done a great job of getting his artwork and name out there.

When Marvel and DC actually approach you and commission you to do artwork for them like they have with BossLogic then yeah, I'd say the guy has made it :-)

@bcom - definitely doesn't mean its good, though. His work is bad and really, really amateur. He's basically the Rob Liefeld of photo manipulation.

@Reeds2Much - He does piss out these pieces in less than a day.

@braunermegda - I'd say he's more Greg Land.

@BritishMonkey - How do you know how long it takes for him to do these things? I'm a graphic designer myself and I can say that it can take a lot longer than that to "piss out" something like the poster above. Regardless if we think it's good or not, a lot of effort goes into photoshop compositions like that.

@braunermegda - True, but all artists have work that is hit and miss. I'd say most of his stuff is better than a lot of 'official' movie poster artwork. I see posters sometimes and think to myself "someone actually got paid to do that?!".

@bcom - In the past he's knocked out a piece the same day some comic film news got announced or some rumour mentioned. He gets out stuff fast.

It’s kind of insane that it’s only 5 weeks away and we still have only a teaser trailer and just NOW they dropped the poster.

Cool poster, but now I'm just really confused about why they needed to wait to put this out, since this doesn't tell us anything the teaser didn't
