Norman Osborn Becoming Iron Patriot In ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN
With Ultimate Spider-Man episode 48 "Second Chance Hero" coming to Disney XD, it is about Norman Osborn, now cured from his mutated state as the Green Goblin, becoming Iron Patriot.
Iron Patriot is a fictional powered exoskeleton used by several characters in Marvel Comics. The alias is an amalgam of Iron Man's armor and Captain America's colors.
Norman Osborn donned the original Iron Patriot armor during the Dark Reign storyline to exert his authority as 'commander' of H.A.M.M.E.R. and his personal Avengers.
As Iron Patriot, Osborn was increasingly jeopardized by various superheroes like when he was tricked into attacking Tony Stark in an early Iron Man armor while suffering from brain damage at the time to show his brutally assaulting a man physically and mentally incapable of even attempting to strike back, and when the New Avengers (led by the new Captain America) used Iron Patriot's tracking device on Luke Cage as a trick to blow up his own house.
During his invasion of Thor's Asgard on the "claim" of a national security threat, Osborn uses his Iron Patriot armour to fight with Steve Rogers. But in the middle of Osborn's fight with Rogers, Stark dismantles the Iron Patriot armor remotely, revealing Osborn's green facepaint with yellow eyes to create a goblin-like look. He tells them they are all dead as the Void is released.
When Stark and Thor incarcerate Osborn to the Raft penitential, he blames his Green Goblin alter-ego for ruining his chance to protect the world as Iron Patriot.
Now with Norman Osborn becoming Iron Patriot this year in season 2's Ultimate Spider-Man, it is unclear whether it will be the same armor from Iron Man 3 or the exact same one he wore in the comics.
