Season 1 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man made some significant changes to the web-slinger's early years. However, by still paying homage to Stan Lee and Steve Ditko's early Amazing Spider-Man comics, the Marvel Animation series still won the approval of fans.

Season 2 swings onto Disney+ next January, and there's already been a lot of chatter about Season 3 being in development. As we first reported on Toonado.com, showrunner Jeff Trammell has now confirmed that work is currently underway on Season 4.

In an interview with Collider, he revealed, "I don't know what I can say, and no one's stopping me, so I'm gonna say we're already working on Seasons 3 and 4 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man."

By the time the series returns to our screens, two years will have passed since we last saw this Variant of Peter Parker. However, by developing a third and fourth batch of episodes now, it should ensure the wait between seasons is considerably shorter moving forward.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Trammell confirmed that they'll be "hitting the ground running" in Season 2 by addressing those cliffhangers—such as Richard Parker's shocking return—and introducing some major new characters.

"I'm really excited for people to see more from Nico Minoru this season. She's a big part of Season 2, and I think people are really going to dig what we're doing with her," he teased. "Eddie Brock, I'm a huge Eddie Brock fan. It was announced that Josh Keaton is playing Eddie Brock, so I'm excited for people to see what he's doing, as well as Norman's up to some stuff that I'm really excited about as well."

With Venom, Doctor Octopus, and Spider-Gwen all set to appear in Season 2, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is wasting no time in adding some big-name characters to Spidey's world. That's exciting, and we have to believe the Green Goblin will take centre stage in those third and fourth seasons.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming a hero, with a journey unlike we've ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots.

The talented voice cast includes Hudson Thames, Colman Domingo, Eugene Byrd, Grace Song, Zeno Robinson, Hugh Dancy and Charlie Cox.

The head writer is Jeff Trammell, and Mel Zwyer is the supervising director. Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt and Trammell serve as executive producers.

In our review of Season 1, we concluded by saying, "Amazing, spectacular, and downright astonishing - Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man exceeds every expectation and is a true love letter to the world's greatest superhero...the end result is the ultimate Spider-Man TV series."

All episodes of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 1 are now streaming on Disney+. Season 2 premieres on January 13.

Waitasec—Keaton is voicing Eddie Brock, in addition to Peter’s father Richard Parker at the end of season 1?

Real surprising. Especially considering he’s also a fan-favorite Spider-Man who now gets to play things from the opposite end—and his face-offs with Ben Diskin’s Eddie/Venom in The Spectacular Spider-Man are iconic.

@FlixMentallo21 - I guess so though it’s not uncommon for one voice actor to portray multiple characters in a show or even episode.

It will be sweet to hear him as Brock though since he’s already my favorite Spider Man outside of the comics!!.

Sweet!!.

It’s interesting how the majority of Marvel’s output next year as of now (mixed with upcoming DC tv shows aswell as the likes of Invincible) are animated hence it makes it seem like superhero cartoons are back in full force which is cool to see since that’s partly how I got into these characters too thus I hope the next generation does aswell through these…

It’s just funny to see how everything in life goes through a cycle in that superhero movies while still popular aren’t at the peak that they used to be while television animation in that genre is making a comeback after not being that prevalent for awhile.

Anyway , I thought YFNSM S1 was solid so looking forward to S2 which hopefully I like aswell thus can be excited for 3 & even 4 perhaps!!.
