This is undeniably a very good start for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and it will likely add an awful lot more to the numbers above when it opens in North America and key foreign territories China and Brazil on Friday. Back in 2012, The Amazing Spider-Man earned a total of $752 million, but the sequel faces some very stiff competition in the coming weeks from the likes of Godzilla and X-Men: Days of Future Past. That and word of mouth will play a big role in its success, and it should be interesting to see whether it earns more or less than the first movie. What do you think?
