Emma Stone to be Offered "Mary Jane" Role in Spider-Man Reboot!

Sony Pictures has apprently found their new "Mary Jane" for the upcoming Spider-Man reboot; In young Easy A actress Emma Stone. Check it Out!

Early reports listed Easy A actress Emma Stone, as a candidate for a love interest in the Marc Webb-directed Spider-Man reboot, that would NOT be Mary Jane Watson, who Kirsten Dunst portrayed in Sam Raimi's trilogy. But now Deadline is reporting...

"Sony Pictures Entertainment will imminently offer the role of Mary Jane Watson to Emma Stone"

Other actresses who were listed as contenders, which include Glee's Dianna Agron, Mia Wasikowska, Georgina Haig and Dominique McElligott, will be considered for the role of Gwen Stacy, which Bryce Dallas Howard played in Spider-Man 3.

Deadline also says that "Gwen Stacy will be a plum part for the first installment, because she is the first love interest of the high school-aged Peter Parker. And Mary Jane becomes more pivotal in the later installments of the Spidey saga."


The rumor of actor Philip Seymour Hoffman portraying Venom, has yet to be confirmed. So with Andrew Garfield set to lead, production is set to begin by the end of the year. And Spider-Man swings back in theaters July 3, 2012 in 3D.

Just As I expected. They're taking influence from The Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon where Gwen was the main love interest with MJ being there as a friend. It's a Sony made cartoon so it's expected they'd use elements from it.

hmmm yes very interesting. i think she'll do fine.. im a lil concerned cuz shes pretty, but not smoking hot... but we'll see. maybe she'll look good in the movies.. Im hoping for a smoking hot Gwen stacy!

Fantastic find DCMF! :) I may still have my doubts about Marc Webb directing this reboot, but he's certaintly assembling a great cast. I've only seen Emma Stone in Zombieland but she was brilliant in it and it'll be a treat to finally have a beautiful MJ, lol! Now all they've got to do is cast Teresa Palmer as Gwen Stacy and I'll be 100% happy!

But yo i just thought that PHS was up for the role of Eddie Brock, maybe their talking about Eddie Brock Sr. and not jr.

This is just me trying to be optimistic about this cus PHS as Venom is just horrific to see on screen. However, if he would play his father then im down to see how that story unfolds...
