Great New Promo Images And A Couple Stills Surface From THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.
It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.
Directed by Marc Webb, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is scheduled for release on May 2, 2014!

The Costume looks perfect, but i think we can stop talking about that now.
It's the horrendous villains i'm worried about.

Don't hate me guys but I actually like Electros look. Better than his yellow and green spandex and that god awful mask.

Also this suit is easily the best one yet.

The only thing I'm not digging about this movie is rhinos look, other than that I'm very excited for this film

Suit looks dope!! I like electro's look...not all things can be brought to life as they are in the comics.. Iam just not liking the memory card looking thing near his ears

Electricity doesn't "shape" in real world...it would have looked weird...i think.

Apart from Rhino everything about this movie looks amazing.

@Pending

I think the original Electro costume works better on paper than in real life.
It looks VERY campy and 'Halloween'.

I think they made the right choice or at least one I can live with.

When will they finally change Spideys costume and keep it as the new one. He has one of the worst costumes in Super Hero history. His alternates be great, and then they go back to this crap.

Electro's costume and look aren't the problem. It's the character himself!
A pseudo-tragic "Boo Hoo, i'm a hapless nerd and then when i get powers i decide to [frick] with Spidey because he forgot my name, instead of everybody else who really screwed me over. I'm also really really good at being a villain even though i spent my whole life as a sad, pesky nerd".
I'm not even going to talk about Harry "David Bowie" Osborn.

I don't get how people can really bitch about the Rhino's look. We have only seen a couple of shots of it. To me, one was awkward, and the other was rather awesome. Plus, There have been far too many interpretations of the character to be so judgemental...especially given that Giamatti has said this is just his first appearance.. I honestly believe he will probably contemplate or possibly even inject himself with the cross species serum to try and get even with spider man after TASM2..

Yeah?! Sounds friggin awesome to me!

Rhino is fine by me.
I think a mech-suit is reasonable and looks good.

@GetsugaTensho22
Electro's origin in this film isn't all that original. We've seen it done many times in comics and films. I think I can overlook it if the character himself is interesting. I do want to point out something regarding one thing you said.

Boo Hoo, i'm a hapless nerd and then when i get powers i decide to [frick] with Spidey because he forgot my name, instead of everybody else who really screwed me over. I'm also really really good at being a villain even though i spent my whole life as a sad, pesky nerd".

That confrontation scene was edited.

Obviously we missed a great deal of dialogue, and the attack on Spidey wasn't just due to him forgetting his name, it was due to a lie he felt he was told. The whole thing about Electro/Max is that he is a rejected nobody who was verbally and mentally abused by his mother and taken advantage of in the workplace. He built a fantasy around Spider-man and himself being heroes in order to remove his sense of isolation and fantasize about approval he never gets. When Spidey, the sole subject of his hero worship and the rock that mentally kept him from going postal rejects/fears him, it's the psychological last straw.

Max is angry. He's always been angry at how he was treated. He's not some 'pesky HAPPY nerd', he's an ANGRY nerdy guy who feels he is unfairly rejected but powerless to do anything about it. He is antisocial, angry, and paranoid. Those are the perfect ingredients for a villain and when he gets the powers he eventually goes that route. It's like the quiet ignored awkwardly social co-worker that one day comes in and shoots up the place.

Also...how do you know he didn't get the other people who screwed him over?
We didn't see enough to form that conclusion. We don't know what he did after the accident other than attack Spider-man.

@getsuga

How can you judge a characters motivations off a trailer? It's a vague summary of a 90+ minute Movie.
People keep saying he turns evil because spidey forgot his name, but I'm sure it will be more complicated than that. Although then again that's just an assumption because I haven't seen the movie and neither have you.

Just for the record I have no problem with rhino being a mech suit I just don't find the design that appealing.

The really like those blue parts on the suit!! Glad they kept that from the first movie.

I really believe that this movie will be the best spider-man movie so far.

( if they can keep this in balance )

Electro is also paranoid and irrational. So, in addition to him feeling angry at how everybody treats him, the paranoia is going to make him behave irrationally and worse like we see in the trailer.

Now that I see the web-shooters closely they seem much more complex than its predecessor. I'm not just talking about the housing, you can also Pete is tinkering with it in the 1st pic, which may seem to indicate more functions (different types of webbings for ex.)
I'm surprised there's no article yet about some leaked web-shooters info or whatever.
I'm in love with that costume!
