Deadline reports that after strong ticket sales on the west coast, Spider-Man: Homecoming's Thursday night debut is looking like it will be upwards of $13 million. That's quite the uptick from the $10 million predicted just a few hours ago and chances are the figure will go even higher in the next couple.

With $13 million, Spider-Man: Homecoming tops the likes of Deadpool, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Wonder Woman, and is quite a bit ahead of both Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Sony Pictures originally predicted an opening weekend of $80+ million for Spider-Man: Homecoming but the latest tracking figures point to a debut of well over $100 million. Ticket sales are well ahead of Wonder Woman and the buzz around it is said to be extremely positive. With good word of mouth, we can probably expect the reboot to exceed expectations and that's good news for both Marvel and Sony.

@Kvothe - Hey. You gotta give Sony credit. If they weren't willing (or desperate) to collab with Marvel, none of this greatness would've happened.

FOX needs to get their heads outta the clouds.
