Marvel's Kevin Feige Confirms Other AVENGERS Will Appear In Upcoming SPIDER-MAN Reboot

What's the fun in another solo Spider-Man film if he doesn't get to play with some of his new friends? Kevin Feige has just confirmed that other MCU characters will indeed appear in the 2017 reboot.

After presumably saving Iron Man's backside in the Armored Avenger's ill-advised crusade against Captain America, it sounds like Tony Stark or one of Spidey's other new friends will almost definiely be repaying the favor in his first solo adventure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Marvel Studios' head honcho Kevin Feige shared the following tidbit: "He is in the universe now, and the fun of the universe is that characters go back and forth."

He doesn't elaborate further, but it's safe to say Chris Evans' Steve Rogers and/or Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark are the two most likely candidates to pop up in the upcoming Jon Watts-directed film, that is if they first make it out of Captain America: Civil War alive. Outside of those two, it's anyone's guess. Over the past eight years, Marvel has built a vast cinematic universe with a plethora of rich and likable characters, so it could be one or a combination of any of the following: Black Widow, Hawkeye, Winter Soldier, Black Panther, Falcon, Scarlet Witch, Ant-Man, Vision, War Machine, Agent Peggy Carter, Nick Fury, Maria Hill, Sharon Carter, Hank Pym, Wasp, Doctor Strange, Daredevil, Punisher, Elektra, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and/or Mockingbird. However, with Thor: Ragnarok kicking off production in Australia around the same time as Spider-Man, it's highly unlikely we'll see either Chris Hemsworth's Thor or Mark Ruffalo's Hulk.

That character roster doesn't even begin to take into account Spidey's huge line of allies and rogues. If handled properly, fans could be in for quite a treat come next July.

Tom Holland will lead the film, starring as Peter Parker, your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. The rest of the cast is still a work-in-progress, but Academy Award-winner Marisa Tomei has been confirmed as Aunt May and up-and-comer Zendaya will be playing a mysterious character named Michelle. It hits theaters July 7, 2017.

So, what do you guys think? Which MCU characters are on your wishlist for 2017's Spider-Man reboot? Sound off with your thoughts below!

“Captain America: Civil War” picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

Captain America: Civil War will feature:
Directors: Anthony & Joe Russo
Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America
Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man
Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow
Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier
