SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING: Tony Stark Has a Message For Aunt May In Hilarious New Clip

A fun new clip for Spider-Man: Homecoming has been released and it picks up almost immediately after the wall-crawler's cameo in Captain America: Civil War with an extremely awkward car ride!

Spider-Man: Homecoming is now pretty much just one month away and a new clip from the highly anticipated reboot was released on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night. Tom Holland and Robert Downey Jr. appeared together on the show (which you can see below) and brought footage of Peter Parker and Tony Stark attempting to come up with an alibi for the wall-crawler's trip to Germany with Iron Man.

It's a fun sequence and one which sheds some light on the relationship between Peter and Iron Man in Spider-Man: Homecoming. The Armoured Avenger definitely seems more interested in Aunt May, anyway, something it's hard to judge him for given her appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Starring Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., and almost countless others, Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts and will be released on July 7th, this year.

What do you think of this new Spider-Man: Homecoming clip? Share your thoughts down below.

@MonsieurClunge - So, just my hypothesis....But we've seen so much now--not complaining--that I think I have it figured out. So I think that the movie starts off with camera clips retailing everything that happened from before Civil War, during it and then just after it. All leading up to "now". Post-Civil War.

We COULD even get some clips of Peter during the science exhibit that gave him powers. Or maybe a clip of Uncle Ben interacting with Aunt May and Peter. They wouldn't have to show the shooting or whatever, we all already know.

So credits would be on screen during these video segments. Before the title.

-OR-

The film opens with 2012, the Chitauri invasion of New York. We see Toomes' company scavaging and life is good for them. So then at some point, Stark creates Damage Control and puts him out of business. Maybe even after the events of AOU. Which would lead us to the clips of Peter leading up to and during civil war.

This movie is going to be awesome and very spiderverse-fun

Kevin Feige already said it

“He’s a very different kind of hero because he is, quite simply, the greatest superhero of all-time.”

Man, the "previously in" segment of American Gods is pretty pointless, huh?

I've read the book, watched the show, and even then I barely understand the context of it. It's all talking TV's, killer trees, zombie boobs, cryptic talk, and LSD trips.

Man, if they can land this 747 half as stylish as they've been flying it, we might be talking on of the best TV show of all time. But something's gotta go wrong.

@MissCipher - Probably best to watch the whole season all at once when it's over. It's a little on the slow side to wait a week between episodes.

@Spock0Clock - The "previously in" segments make a lot of thematic sense to the story imo. The parallels and what they're referring to may not be immediately obvious but there is context to it.
