Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse boasts a bold, groundbreaking visual style, so it's only fitting that Sony's animated film has a kickass soundtrack to go with it. One of the artists who has apparently been working on a track for the upcoming movie is rapper Post Malone.
Appearing on
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the
"Rockstar" singer teased his new song, "
Sunflower," which will be featured in
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. A brief, 10-second snippet of the song, which even Post Malone admitted he hadn't heard in full yet, was shared with the audience and you can listen to it in the clip below (around the 3:00 mark to hear the snippet).
Though we only get a brief clip of the song, you can already tell the vibe Sony is aiming for with the
Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack. Like so many other elements within the film, it's different - a style we haven't really heard a lot of in a
Spider-Man movie. Sony is taking big leaps with
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and it appears to be building to something special. The
first 35 minutes of the movie was shown at NYCC this past weekend and apparently, the audience reacted
"with massive enthusiasm to what was shown."
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the creative minds behind The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street, bring their unique talents to a fresh vision of a different Spider-Man Universe, with a groundbreaking visual style that’s the first of its kind. Spider-Man™: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.
We don't know when Post Malon's "
Sunflower" will drop, or when we will find out more about
Into the Spider-Verse's soundtrack, but the movie swings into theaters December 14, 2018.
