Hot Toys has officially revealed (via Toonado.com) two of its Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 1/6th scale action figures based on the likenesses of Miles Morales and Miguel O'Hara.

The latter is better known to fans as Spider-Man 2099, though this particular figure has caused something of an uproar among collectors due to those exposed joints. Many have understandably compared it to an overpriced Marvel Legends figure, though we just appreciate getting a detailed look at the web-slinger's costume!

As for Miles, he's upgraded his suit since the last time we saw him and it no longer has that "homemade" feel. That was to be expected seeing as the teenager is New York City's sole protector, and it's a solid design.

Hot Toys has previously teased a Spider-Gwen figure, so we're guessing a reveal is imminent on that front. There might have been a slight delay due to yesterday's reveal of a figure based on Michael Keaton's Batman in The Flash

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn's full-time, friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence.

But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

The movie stars Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Karan Soni, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, Shea Whigham, and Oscar Isaac.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is set to be released in theaters on June 2, 2023.

Honestly I think the 2099 one is fine. It's just outside their wheelhouse to make figures of animated people.

Even the miles one looks off since they used real fabric which isn't gonna behave the way the suit will in the movie.

Yeah, that 2099 figure does NOT look anywhere near the quality of the typical output from Hot Toys. Those exposed joints are awful. This figure should cost 1/3 of the normal price for that kinda compromise...

I mainly get comic versions of Marvel Legends but I might grab the 2099 figure if I see it on sale. New figure prices are getting kinda ridiculous these days.

Peter B was the mentor of Into the Spiderverse, Miguel O'Hara will be the mentor in Across the Spiderverse, any idea who might be the mentor in Beyond the Spiderverse? Would be cool to see if it's Cosmic Spiderman
