October is still pretty far down the road, but USA Today has been able to obtain a brand new still from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One), revealing an awesome shot of Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) doing his best to escape the grasp of Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac) as they jump through the multiverse.

Not much is known about the film's plot, but we did recently learn it'll be the first chapter of an epic two-part story that'll see Miles thrust into an all-new adventure where he'll reunite with Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld), cross paths with Miguel O'Hara, and meet a whole new group of Spider-people to aid him in a multiverse-saving mission.

At the moment, only Oscar Isaac, Shameik Moore, and Hailee Steinfeld are confirmed members of the voice cast, but it's been separately reported that Jake Johnson is expected to reprise his role as Peter B. Parker while Issa Rae is set to debut as Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman. As for who else will join them, that remains uncertain, but Lord and Miller have previously teased, "Miles will reunite with some old friends and meet…. a lot of new ones."

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) swings exclusively into theaters on October 7, 2022.

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar®-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) debuts in theaters October 7, 2022.

I really hope there's an Endgame portal-esque sequence in Part One or Part Two.

This movie may not gross the most but it’ll be the best cbm this year, or best movie period, that or the Batman.

@TheWalkingCuban - The first grossed $375 million on a $90 million budget. Not bad but low for a Spider-Man movie. The movie did have strong home video sales and was a streaming hit. Not to mention that it's soundtrack was a huge success.

I think Across the Spiderverse has the potential to be a huge hit. The first is well loved and Spider-Man is more popular than ever thanks to No Way Home. I see it as another Batman Begins/Dark Knight situation. Begins grossed $370 million but the good reception and hype around The Dark Knight pushed that film passed the $1 billion mark.

I don't know if Across the Spiderverse can make it to a billion but I think it has a very good chance at outgrossing the original.

I don't understand the hype behind Spider-verse. I found it kinda grating, between the time and animation. Just not my cup of tea I guess.
I wonder who loves Spider-Man being exploded into a billion micro-brands more, Sony or Disney?

@PapaSpank54 - Multiverses were old hat even in the 1970s.
Should be enough storytelling possibilities in just one universe. I mean it's an entire universe right?

Can we have a live action Spider-Man Noir?

Filmed in B&W.

(or I could just turn down the colour on my TV)
