Jamie Foxx Got Emotional On First Day Filming THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

Have superheroes reached a point where the Hollywood actors who star in their movie adaptations feel just as passionate about them as the comic book readers? "… that suit, that Spider-Man suit…," said Foxx.

If you recall, just a few days ago, a report surfaced that Man of Steel actor Henry Cavill got emotional watching the finished product of Zack Snyder's Superman reboot for the first time. Today, another similar story has surfaced for actor Jamie Foxx who plays Electro in Marc Webb's Amazing Spider-Man sequel. Foxx admits that his first time on set filming scenes he too almost shed a few manly tears. "It’s been fantastic. [Director] Marc Webb has been fantastic to work with.," said Foxx. He continued, "What I’ve learned on the set… that suit, that Spider-Man suit… the first thing I had to shoot it was like… not tears, but this is the real thing. It was mindblowing." Once upon a time in Hollywwod, actors would know next to nothing about the comic book characters they were portraying on screen. While we still aren't completely removed from that era, it's nice to see that things are transitioning more towards actors being just as passionate about the characters as the fan base.
