Latest AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Production Pic Features Colm Feore & Some Pointy Teeth

Yesterday director Marc Webb Tweeted an image of what appeared to be some huge Woolly Mammoth tusks, and today it's the jaws of a Sabertooth tiger. Part of the movie seems to be set in a Natural History Museum -- is this building up to something Rhino related?

Bit of a stretch here maybe, but I reckon Paul Giammati's character has something to do with a natural history museum and that something will somehow lead to him becoming Rhino. OR, Webb is just [frick]ing with us again and showing us some pretty snaps from the set. Either way, fun to speculate! Plus that's the awesome Colm Feore there just out of focus too.

TBH I gotta agree, I get a very Kraven the Hunter vibe from these bones, not Rhino. Maybe he has a cameo in the film or is somehow involved with this whole rhino deal.

I'm guessing Rhino is going to be relegated to the opening scene, the "prologue" if you will, similar to the cold open of a TV series or the opening scenes of TDK and TDKR. My assumption is he'll be similar to his portrayal in Ultimate Spider-Man; a small guy in a big Rhino-esque mech suit. He'll try to rob the museum, during an event Jameson is hosting, and Spider-Man will show up to save the day. Jameson will be furious that he's been embarrassed and his big event has been ruined, blame Spider-Man, and start his infamous life-long hatred of 'ol webhead.

Yeah, Kraven fought Ka-zar and his pet Sabretooth tigers in ASM 104 (likely he would have kept the trophy too), i'd say it was a definite hint at Kraven for me... can't see it linking to Rhino (but they can make anything happen I guess!)

Hasn't TASM video game been officially announced as canon to TASM story line? And wasn't Rhino in that game? So how would Paul Giamatti being Rhino work out? It's all dumb. I enjoyed the first movie to a certain extent, but I hope the sequel doesn't fall flat.

Well, two recent movies have pulled off (for the most part) big bait and switch type twists involving characters so I wouldn't be surprised if there was something going on like that here too.

Here's my theory. Kraven has been hunting Rhino for a while, but has been unable to capture him. Rhino finds his way to New York, Spidey stops Rhino in the prologue to the film, saving Max Dillon in the process. Kraven learns that Spidey took down the Rhino, and sets Spidey as his new target. Kraven is seen selling his pelts and trophies to Norman Osborn (I reckon the image above is taken inside Osborn's mansion. Osborn learns of Kraven's aim to hunt Spidey, and he shares his equal distaste for the web head. Thus, we begin to see the formings of the Sinister Six.We'll see how things turn out with Electro, and whether Lizard, Rhino, Black Cat or any others pop up as cameos or are hinted to.

I always said i'd love Kraven on the big screen because we could easily get out of New York.

Peter Parker never got out of New York. But then he becomes Spider-Man and has to live in the forest (or even the jungle, who knows !) and fight with Kraven. A spider out of its element... in a forest ! I think it's a pretty sweet dynamic. The only problem is how do you make a Spider-Man movie in the forest ? Does he get out of the forest and back in, because he has his Peter Parker life he needs to live as well (school, Gwen, aunt May...) ? Or does he spend an hour and a half stright in the forest ? Sounds weird.

My gues is this is nothing about Kraven. Probably some kind of decoration, like the voodoo masks in Norman's mansion in 2002. Hence the golden teeth.
