Sony Expected To Share Update About SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Trailer Online Debut Before Tuesday

So, we know that Sony Pictures is holding an event in Los Angeles this Tuesday where the new Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer will premiere in front of fans. What about an online debut? Here's the latest...

Yesterday, it was revealed that Sony Pictures is holding an event on Tuesday afternoon in Los Angeles that will see a select number of fans treated to the new Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer on the big screen. "Big" surprises have also been promised, and we're guessing free merch and perhaps appearances from the movie's cast could be what that's referring to.

There's actually been quite a noteworthy backlash to the announcement because there was no mention of when the trailer itself is going to be shared online. Assuming it spotlights the movie's villains or even those Spider-Man Variants, the best way to learn about these reveals is not through recaps and descriptions or a bootleg recording that's drowned out by the cheers of enthusiastic fanboys.

As you can see below, Cinema Blend's Sean O'Connell believes that an announcement is incoming regarding online plans. Other LA-based journalists who will be present at the event have also hinted that fans everywhere will be happy on Tuesday, so we're guessing those in attendance will just see it slightly sooner. It's a weird way to debut a new trailer, but here's hoping we're not disappointed.

"For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero," reads the movie's synopsis. "When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man."

Among the film's confirmed cast members are Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, Benedict Wong, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx.

Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in U.S. and UK theaters on December 17.

The first trailer was enough for me. I am sold. I don't need more.

@defenderofthefaith - agreed and I don’t want to watch another one but that’s not gonna be easy, and people here are gonna talk about it, so… since I bet there will be leaks and spoilers… see y’all after Spider-Man, I’m out this juice

@TheWalkingCuban - Them telling us it's Tuesday just lets me know when to start blacking out all CBM-related media. 🙃

@EskimoJ - trust me… black it out tomorrow. The leaks, bro, always just ahead of the release

I’m going to avoid this like the plague if I can. I want to go in as blind as possible although with this movie in particular that seems damn near impossible

@Ha1frican - so you don’t plan on watching ghostbusters in theaters?
Ha1frican
Ha1frican - 11/14/2021, 11:12 AM
@Frshcoupe - I do, but largely I actually close my eyes and plug my ears for certain trailers. I watch the teaser or first trailer for everything but for the most part of I know I’m going to watch it I avoid trailers. Ever since the later trailers for the first Avengers spoiled certain moments I’ve just avoided them in the theaters when it comes to Star Wars and the MCU

Not releasing it online would be the stupidest f*cking choice ever on their part, and it's Sony we're talking about which means they're most likely at least considering it.

Surely people didn't think this trailer was going to be exclusive to this event

Wait, so is it officially confirmed or not? Why would Sony share an update on a trailer?

We’re basically a month out from this releasing…What’s the point of dropping another trailer? The movie has already been sold to the audience as is…People are going to watch it regardless…

I say skip any further trailers and just run out the month on re-edits of the footage that already got released in the first trailer…Let people experience this movie in full for the first time by sitting in a theater watching the damn thing…

But what is the point of holding a private event for the second trailer of a movie that is coming out in a month? There are no secrets and everyone knows whose going to show up. I don't understand Sony...

@SonOfAGif - To make it fun for those who could attend. It's no biggie. They have money in their marketing budget.

Sony announces that the big surprise is that there are actually ZERO Spider-Men in the movie. All that trailer stuff and Tom Holland press was fancy CGI that is edited out. The movie is really a doctor strange 2 prequel and will 3 hours long with the first 2:59:59 leaked in 4K to new Sony+ subscribers.

Why marvel loaned doctor strange to Sony? All an elaborate ploy to spend money.

You heard it here first!

Has there even been a trailer for this movie yet?
Frshcoupe
Frshcoupe - 11/14/2021, 11:03 AM
Why is everyone saying we shouldn’t get another trailer? We even got 2 trailers for Infinity War and Endgame and those movies were way bigger than a Spidey movie that deals in the multiverse. I’m not against that idea but i remember people BEGGING for a second Endgame trailer.

@Frshcoupe - it's because Marvel Studios doesn't spoil huge reveals, Sony will blow the money shot in a trailer..
