SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME - Action-Packed Clip Pits Peter Parker Against SPIDER-MAN 2's Doctor Octopus

Another Spider-Man: No Way Home clip has been released, this time offering our best look yet at what promises to be an epic showdown between the MCU's Peter Parker and Spider-Man 2 villain Doctor Octopus!

There's an awful lot Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures haven't shown us from Spider-Man: No Way Home, and that probably explains why the wall-crawler's battle with Doctor Octopus has been so heavily featured in promos and TV spots. After all, the return of that Spider-Man 2 villain is one heck of a way to market the threequel, and this new clip shows more of Doc Ock in action.

On the hunt for the Fusion Reactor he created, it's unclear whether Otto Octavius remembers his death or that he willingly destroyed it in a moment of clarity in order to save New York City.

Either way, Ock believes this Spider-Man is the one he fought in the 2004 movie, and a battle ensues that's definitely a thrill to watch play out. The special effects seem to have been perfected since the last trailer, while the MCU Peter Parker is clearly being pushed to his limits by the iconic villain.

Check out this new Spider-Man: No Way Home clip below:

"For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero's identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk," reads the new synopsis. "When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse."

Among the film's confirmed cast members are Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, Benedict Wong, J.K. Simmons, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx. Based on the new trailer, we can now add Willem Dafoe, Thomas Haden Church, and Rhys Ifans to that impressive list of actors (fingers crossed for Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield).

Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in U.S. on December 17 and in the UK on December 15.

We've basically seen this scene throughout the whole marketing campaign, and yet this all felt new lol but looks good so far! Some proper Spider-Man shit it seems

@Dredd97 - and you can tell from the edits that we still haven't seen the full scene

The action scenes are something i'm looking forward to in this film and every spidey film it comes out, and this one looks like it's goong to deliver

It's crazy to think that in every incarnation, Doc Ock constantly poses a problem for Spider-Man. He's like the most deadly of the villains. Even in the PS4 final battle it was brutal and borderline painful to watch him punching Peter in the face with his tentacles.

Another clip.

I hope they maintain consistency with the length of Ock’s mechanical arms. These look like they can get ridiculously long depending on whatever the scene needs.

I wish I didn't notice things like the gray Mustang getting smashed and then immediately appearing intact.

@BeefyTrout - The Mustang is still smashed before Peter jumps to avoid the incoming vehicle Octavius throws at him from behind.

@NinnesMBC - When the view is in first person as Peter aims his wrist, you can clearly see the Mustang in pristine condition after having just been smashed by Doc Ock.

@BeefyTrout - You sure it isn't a different car? Because the view switches later as he's hit from behind by Dock Ock and the Mustang is behind him appearing smashed like it was.

He has the OG theme. Gotta love it. CGI is a little shotty though. But the actual action looks good I’ll admit

The positives about the Multi-Verse:
a comeback of so many great actors and characters that made the previous trilogy so brilliant.

The Con:
Any MCU original version of these characters will immediately feel tainted by the previous appearance of these characters.

Maybe should have done SM3 focussing on the identity plot with Kraven, SM4 with Dock Ock/Lizard/Electro, SM5 with Goblin and SM6 with Venom

It's great they brought back Doctor Octopus' theme.

This one I really do not want to miss on cinemas.
