If Eternals proved anything, it's that some jerks have no problem with blatantly dropping spoilers on social media without taking fans and moviegoers into account. Variety's review of Spider-Man: No Way Home reveals most of the movie's plot, so perhaps the trade's "critic" should have watched the following PSA from the cast before putting pen to paper?
This video dropped online last night prior to the world premiere, and features Tom Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), Zendaya (MJ), and Jacob Batalon (Ned) asking those who get an early look at the movie not to share spoilers before everyone is given the opportunity to see the threequel for themselves.
It's going to be tough not to see anything over the next couple of days, but it can be done if you're careful! This is a fun video, anyway, and concludes with a "spoiler" showing up for a cameo. Jamie Foxx's role was confirmed a while ago, of course, but it's been great seeing The Amazing Spider-Man 2 star take part in promotional videos like this one as he's clearly excited for his return as Electro.
Take a look at this new promo for Spider-Man: No Way Home in the players below:
"For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero's identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk," reads the new synopsis. "When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse."
Among the film's confirmed cast members are Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, Benedict Wong, J.K. Simmons, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx. Based on the new trailer, we can now add Willem Dafoe, Thomas Haden Church, and Rhys Ifans to that impressive list of actors (fingers crossed for Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield).
Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in U.S. on December 17 and in the UK on December 15.
