We're still waiting on that new trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, but Sony Pictures definitely hasn't forgotten to hype up arguably one of the most anticipated superhero movies of all-time. After that recent Empire Magazine feature and the poster reveal on Sunday, Total Film was recently given the opportunity to catch up with star Tom Holland to discuss his return as Peter Parker.
You can hear more from him on why this could be Spidey's greatest big screen adventure yet right here, but a new still has now been released which once again takes us back to that confrontation on the highway.
It almost looks like the wall-crawler is taking a selfie or posing for a photo, unaware that Doctor Octopus is watching him. However, it's also possible he's communicating with Ock; it's hard to say, though it's obvious this takes place either before or during their massive confrontation.
At this point, we've seen so much of this clash, it's clear a lot is being kept hidden from us by Sony. That's not a bad thing, of course, but it will be interesting to see what surprises (if any) the new trailer has in store.
"For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero," reads the movie's synopsis. "When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man."
Among the film's confirmed cast members are Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, Benedict Wong, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx.
Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in U.S. and UK theaters on December 17.
